  1. G'day All, After the advice I received here earlier in the year, I have powered on designing my own baits and having a ball. In order to fund a CNC machine to make my own molds or to pay someone to do the machining for me, some good friends have been nice enough to help me get some funds towards it. The struggle I am having is packing the baits neatly in the bags. I want to give them the best product I can from what I am working with, as part of that I want to pack my baits neatly same as what you would find in a store, but am having extreme issues with either my fat hands not fitting in the bag properly, or the baits not wanting to play the game as I try to add them to the bag. Has anybody got any tips that might point me in the right direction? Ill also do a post with a lot of what I have found so far in regards to 3d Printing molds. Jake

  2. If I heat 8 oz of plastic for 2 minutes it will be ready to shoot. If colors are changing then they are overheated. Or heated for to long but I mean hours not minutes. Check your process and get a second temperature reading device. Make sure they both read about the same. Also one thing about heating that small of an amount of plastic makes slight heating mistakes a big deal. Make a larger amount and the heat will be less of an issue.

  3. Heating that plastic to long in those 2 minute burst, have a little more patience with it. Go 2 then 1 then 30 seconds to get to 360 350. Then do your thing. With remelts depending on how cool it is go 1:30 or 1 then judge from there. It will stay clear and desired color. Try setting it on cardbard in the microwave and when you take it out.

  4. Also red glitter gets hot and bleeds. Red and green when overheated will turn brownish like the color wheel will dispaly in different hues. So an overheat in run 2 and a possible underheat in round 3.

  5. Did you add the solid plastic to it after 2 injections. Also how solid was the remaining plastic in the bottom of the cup. 2 30 second reheats would not be enough. It will act like jello somewhat when you reheat on your way back to 315 320 or over.

  6. I've had it to turn brown or rootbeer as you said when over cooking it until the point i scorched it, but never had any turn into jello when i did it.
