  2. The only thing I can think off is with the traditional buzzbait (top lure) the frog will sit a bit lower in the water than the inline. This may get a few more strikes from fish hesitant to break the surface. Some people say inline buzzbaits get on plane faster but I haven't notice a difference with a frog on it. In pike and musky country, the inline is easier to fish with a leader. You will have to put surgical tubing over the R bend on a traditional bait or the leader snap could slide up or down the arm. I don't like to change blades on a traditional buzzbait. Before I put the rivet on, I scuff the top of the rivet with sandpaper. After I put the rivet on, I crush the tube part of the rivet with needle nose pliers so the rivet won't spin with blade. The blade spinning on the roughed up rivet top makes a good squeal.

  3. Frankly if it wasn't for exact copies soft plastics wouldn't be where it is now. No molds, no injection equipment, etc. Anyone that was hand pouring custom lures knows how much things have changed. Knock off baits and knock off colors simply has allowed the hobby to grow.

  4. Look at lureworks natural color. Or Put a drop of yellow in. You will never learn colors and how they react until you screw some crap up.

  7. Pin it with tooth picks or metal rods, I use tooth picks, drill 1/16" hole ...stick tooth pick in a cordless drill and wrap 180 grit or less sandpaper around tooth pick and sand until it fits snug. Tooth picks will swell tight in the water and are easy and cheap. Metal glue is usually needed not so with the picks. Addressing the tail issue, quick fix/quick redo.. just dip the part of the tail you want thicker in heated clear plastisol.

  11. Weighs in at just over 1oz. 6” total length. Jighead is handmade from a modified bullet weight and wide gap 4/0 worm hook. Other 3 swimbaits glued on wires, which are attached to split rings. Wires are all hand bent. Wire frame was attached together with solder, then epoxied.
