  1. If I'm the web designer/maintainer for MF, it would literally take seconds to change the original post to something like..... TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE And if you want to give me 6 more seconds of web work...... PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON..........or...........WE EXPECT TO BE IN FULL SERVICE BY HALLOWEEN Instead, everyone is in the dark. Don't get me wrong. I loved MF's products as that was pretty much all I used, but customers should know the overall plan. You might have an inside scoop, but the rest of us don't. Not good customer service. As I said, really hope I'm wrong here.
  2. Honestly something very suspicious about this one. Personally, I wouldn't be counting on MF products from now on. Been in and out of the industry for close to 4 decades and typically when something like this happens, the company is toast. This is one of those times when I'm REALLY hoping I'm wrong, but you can't be so busy that you can't add a message on your site or at least return a phone call. I have 2 messages without return calls........and I don't even make baits anymore! LOL Hoping for a return or at least a merger, but I wouldn't be holding my breath. Peace
  3. Thanks for the update! It would be nice if they would have a notice on their site. I mean it's not that hard to do LOL!
  4. Thanks all for continuing to report these. Much appreciated! Chris
  5. Not a veteran, but you guys deserve the discount, brother!!
  6. Try buying a concert ticket these days. If it's anyone worth a crap, the hidden fees are outrageous. I wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday and buy a couple Eagles tickets. The seats I chose weren't bad at 160 bucks each. Upon checkout, the total order was $510 for 2 tickets. That's 150 bucks worth of BS in my opinion, so I didn't pull the trigger. I'll buy the wife some jewelry or something. At least she'll have something to show for it. LOL
  7. If it's a computer, check programs running in the background, clear your cache, and restart the computer. If that doesn't work, Malwarebytes is awesome if you don't have it. You could have some sort of spyware. Hopefully, your ISP is just slow and will fix itself. I can't tell you how many times I've had to reboot my modem this year, and we have Comcast, which is supposed to be the best! LOL
  8. I just checked and the site is flying for me. I'm assuming this is the one? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/
  9. Just a note that I've called a couple times this morning and still getting a voicemail.
  10. Unless you stay on top of it, sharpies don't last.
  11. If I still made baits, I'd be devastated if they shut down!! Products and service are top notch and yes it breaks my heart to see the small businesses that have shut down due to our economy and administration.
  12. I just checked it out and it looks like (hopefully) they are totally revamping their site. I just called and was able to leave a message, so hoping for a return call or text from them. Based in Texas and me being in California, I'm sure it's after hours for them. I'll try again tomorrow. For those who don't know and want to try calling, their number is 817-281-9488.
  13. Always good to figure out which works best for YOU!! Good luck :-)
  14. I'll probably take crap for this, but I never used a thermostat. When the plastic is ready, it's ready.........and you'll learn pretty quick when that is. Not sure what type of plastic you're using, but I used MF and that stuff poured like a gem rather I wanted the colors to sort of run together or just a straight laminate. For a laminate, I would wait about 20 to 30 seconds before adding the top pour, but you don't wanna wait too long or they won't connect properly and you'll have gaps in the worm. Dangit......there's a term for that, but I can't think of the name right now. Maybe someone can jump in and save me. LOL. I would just keep my hot plate between medium and high at all times and just keep an eye on the cup you're warming up. I worked with cups almost exclusively and I would add everything to cold plastic first. Your color, glitter, hi-lite......whatever's going in there worked best with cold plastisol. When heating your cup, you want the plastic to be at a nice thin pourable stream........kind of like synthetic oil. From that point, you want to keep it just about there without burning it. Once you get the hang of it, you can do split veins as well, especially with MF. Pouring that second color will actually force the vein to the sides of the mold, giving it that "split" effect. Really cool stuff!! Oh and just to be clear, I'm sure other brands will work just fine. Many of those brands were not available when I poured, so I can't say either way, but MF was my go-to brand. Your worms looks really nice, especially for a first run!! Most of the answers you're looking for you will stumble on yourself as you continue to pour. Just keep at it!!
  15. Here's a sample of his Purple Knight. I wish I had a pic of my version because the black is much more dominant, but at least you get the idea. Very light purple with small red flake and I would double the black here. Hope this helps!
  16. Oh yeah that side view makes quite the difference!! LOL
  17. I don't see any that he currently has for sale, but I'll ask if he's got a picture :-)
  18. Yup......great idea. And yeah I would agree that even though that last one looks great, we always prefer a lighter belly. Like you said, sometimes just a glitter will turn it. I'd like to see how that one would look with the same back, but a clear (or a VERY light smoke) belly with either a bunch of small black flake or a touch of large black. So many possibilities LOL! A couple years back, I bought a bag of custom flukes from a guy on Ebay. Bummed that I can't remember the name, but he called it Flesh something or other. LOL. Anyway, it was just a fleshy pink looking back with a clear belly and a bunch of micro holograph flake. Looked to me like he added a touch of red color to the pearl to give it that natural fleshy look. I got a pack of 25 and to this day, the most productive fluke I used. I went back to order more and the dude had packed up and moved on. Just my luck.......that's why you'll never see me in Vegas!!
  19. Holy Smokes those are NICE!!! Reminds me of a color that I used to make. Called it Purple Knight. Don't know if it can be done in a fluke (or how it would look,) but it was basically a very light purple with small red flake and a THICK black vein. I mean so thick that 2/3 of the bait was black. The 2 colors just offset each other perfectly. Looked awesome in the water too and was definitely a fish catcher! Keep at it, brother. Those look amazing!
  20. Honestly, my son and I are huge fluke fans and I'm just diggin' all the cool colors!!
  21. I would absolutely buy a bunch from you. Flukes are on fire right now and I'm always looking for something different out there. Keep up the good work!!
  22. I have bunch of Hot Shots, but sure haven't seen a color like that!
