  1. I would cut back on the micro balloons .5 and pour one to see if that's the problem. If it works, you can gradually increase the balloons until you get a fail.
  2. Love the paint job!!! Tell us how you got the hair effect. If you don't want to, I understand.
  3. Never got them form Shelts, but you cant beat predators warts.
  4. Use KBS. Its muck thinner than epoxy and won't clog them up. After you dip and hang, take a tooth pick and give a little swipe around the gill opening.
  5. You do great work Skeet! They got nothing on you.
  6. Man I just love your stuff Craig. Great work brother!
  7. Try the wire baits forum.
  8. I print bodies all of the time. I make mine in 2 halves like a regular production lure. No infill needed. You only need to design half of the lure and then just mirror it in your cad program. ABS filament works best for me. However, you still have to seal your lure before testing. You can do this various way. A good coat of cover white works fine for testing.
  9. Yes I have a 3D scanner.
  10. Can you post a picture of the lure? Also, how big is it? Is it a hollow body or solid?
  11. We cut strips of masking tape the width of each joint and put them on both sides of the cloth. Then apply your choice of clear coat. We spray auto clear or moisture cure urethane. No need to spin.
  12. We use one of these: https://www.ebay.com/i/112321104185?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=112321104185&targetid=544246891374&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1020268&poi=&campaignid=1497773989&mkgroupid=59509629962&rlsatarget=aud-622524042918:pla-544246891374&abcId=1139476&merchantid=114605900&gclid=CjwKCAjwkenqBRBgEiwA-bZVtr9pyGvJ73E7zSvUShbch7--2Xrm-wS69fMZafef2DN0jyRdKzC3pBoCB_IQAvD_BwE
  13. As some of you know, I design lures and paint schemes for Bass Pro Shops. Bass Pro has many patents on some of the lures I designed. China has copied many of them and released them for sale. Its just not worth the money to fight them overseas. Here is a perfect example: https://patents.google.com/patent/US8789308?oq=tim+hughes+segmented+fishing+lure There are many copies of this lure for sale on ebay and other places.
  14. If you're talking China, there is no protection
  15. If you put a clear over the foil it hides the edges and a lot of the wrinkles. It just gives you a smooth surface to paint on.
  16. Everything that Skeeter said is 110% correct. But if you really must, I would have a topwater, shallow bill, medium bill and a deep bill. Pretty much covers the spectrum. That should be enough to make you want to quit your job. Just kiddin'
  17. scuff it. Then a good cleaning with isopropyl alcohol . Paint it.
  18. 2 dips and you'll be set to go
  19. Here's what I use http://www.masontackle.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=155

    paint mixer

At those prices, I think I'll mix by hand.
  21. Use Garmin's new livescope. You can see How deep your lure runs.
  22. Try using the search function . Type chrome in it and everything you need to know about chrome is there
  23. You're doing something wrong. With the bloxygen, I can keep a quart for months and never have it skim over. Just barely crack the lid and shoot the bloxygen for 2 seconds and close the lid. Works every time.
