Hello Guys, I was wondering if anyone had the plans and info on building a fluorescent green fishing light. I want to build a couple of the 4 foot lights. I know you have to have some kind of 120 to 12 volt converter or ballast. I would appreciate any help.

You can use a pyrex 100 ml beaker to pour from. Much better control and smaller flow spout. You can get those at a science supply/chemical supply place. If you know a compounding pharmacist, he can order you some of them. They aren't very expensive. That's what I used at first with success.

I do 2 color tubes using a vertical dip method. I dip the rod the full length in the tail color. I then dip the rod in the body color down to where I want the tail to start. I normally dip the rod again in the body color down to where the tail starts. This covers the tail color in the body area especially if you are using a tail color that is quite different from your body color such as a blue tube with a chartreuse tail (one I use a lot). Well, you need to read a lot of posts on the wire baits forum. There is a world of wisdom there. You need to make a decision on what you want to make first. Say you decide to make spinnerbaits. You need to pick a mold (Do-it makes good molds at a reasonable price). You need to order the hooks and wire forms necessary for the mold you pick. You then need powder paint, blades, swivels, split rings, beads and silicone pads for skirts. Barlows Tackleshop has all of this. I recommend you get skirt material and skirt tool from Charlie at fishingskirts.com. He has good selection, a good price, and a neat skirt making tool for $4.00. Hope this helps. The Senko has salt, but it also has sand. The sand does not cloud the bait and weighs more than the salt. I do believe they are using larger salt crystals as well.

You might want to get some scents (crayfish, shad, etc) and some glitter to spice things up. Probably need some red coloring too. Welcome to the addiction of lure making.

I bought one of the beaver molds when LC first came out with it. I haven't had any problems with it.
