Those are some sharp looking baits. Very unique pattern..good job. As far as paint goes the best I have found is Createx Auto Air...make sure it is the auto air..better quality then the regular createx...

Trick, Yes the fins on my bluegill and all my baits are a stencil.. Post the picture when you are done with it. I am very excited to see it...

So it is actually a decal on the side. Do you just clear coat over it? Pretty neat..

Trick trout, Thanks for the compliments about my baits. To make the black marking on the Largemouth pattern I use a stencil. I use thick cardstock paper or a playing card from a deck of cards and cut out the shape with a pen knife. After that just apply stencil to the bait and spray. I really don't have any tricks just take your time cutting the stencil, because I believe your paintjob will only be as good as your stencil. Hope this helps. Are the spots you talking about still sticky after the rest of the bait dries. If so you didn't cover that spot enough. One thing I learned about Devcon is that you have to put on a very thick coat on the entire bait then take a dry brush or wipe off you original brush good and go over the entire bait brushing off the excess Devcon. You might use a little more Devcon but won't run into the problem you are having. Hope this makes sense and helps.

Hello all, I have finally came up with a sunny pattern that I am pretty happy with. First off I need to thank Larry @ Legendary Lure for carving such an amazing bait! Well here it is. The pic is a tiny blurry and really doesn't show the scale pattern. Let me know what you think! Thanks in advance.

Here is the final Peacock bait with the clearcoat. I appreciate all the praise. I just received some Legendary Lure Betty Bugeaters and can't wait to start working on them. Hope my paintjob can be as amazing as the craftsmenship of the lure! Thanks to Larry at Legendary Lures.
