    Hooks

Hey guys, Its been a while!!!!!! I am looking for bulk hooks. I like Eagle claw the most. Any guess where I can get bulk( 200-500) hook deals? 4/0 or 3/0 rubberworm style is what I have in mind Thanks for the help, Lee

    Givin' props!!

They are catchy! I caught 2, 2 1/2 pounders on the lizard you gave me. #2 beat it to death, so I switched to my store boughts. ( I had a 13# livewell on Sat) Gonna throw the senkos on Thursday. I ran into a couple of your club-mates on Saturday practicing for the tourney on the 10th. They both said " all we have to do to win, is beat Kevin." Hmmmmmm...sounds like we got a ringer here. I didn't have the heart to tell them you were gonna miss that one. Thanks again, Lee
  3. I just got back from Kevins shop at Finger Lake baits. He was fantastic!!!! He gave me a blow-by-blow on how to pour worms, mix colors and saved me some arse-ache on his "oopses" Being new to this, that was huge for me. All of the schooling would not have been possible without Tackle underground and all of you folks. Thanks to all of you and especially Kevin. Its nice to know that there are some decent people out there and some that will take you in, tip their hand and help out a fellow bassaholic. All the best, Lee

You guys are awsome!!! Thanks again for all the help. I have not gotten my cataloge yet, but I havent seen motor oil dye listed. Am I just blind? THats my go-to color and am dead-set on finding it. I will keep you all posted on how things go. Thanks tons! Lee

Forgot about the shipping. I read somewhere on this board that table salt run around a coffee grinder is good enough for the worms. True? When is the softener added? You say 1/2 cup per gallon. Is that something that can ratio down? Say, if I mix up 4 cups of plastic? Lee

A reaper, huh? What exactly is that? I have never heard that term before. I kinda thought the 536 would be easier to work with just from the description. I am getting my wish list together from the online catalog and I hope to put the order in by the weekend. Any "must haves" besides the obvious? I am thinking a quart of plastic, a mold or 2, a few different color dyes, worm oil, maybe some salt. Hows that sound to kick it off? Lee

hmmmmm.... makes sense! Thats why I come to you guys. Are any shapes harder to pour? I like worms, lizards and the"hawg" baits. My partner is worms exclusively. It seems the"crawly" baits would be a little tougher to pour. Am I all wet? I am really gassed up about this. I want Lure craft to fly my crap to me!!!!!! Al, I feel your pain. Jrav, I will gladly take the bumps with you on the whole start up. If you come into any "holy-jeez-dont-do-that's, let me know, I'll do the same. Lee

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback so far.I will call Lure Craft in the AM. Keith, I am right on the Willamson border. Port Bay is my stomping grounds. ( we have a cottage there) I pulled a 4lb-11oz largemouth out on the 4th on a Berkley Power Lizard. As I said before, it gets a little 'spensive for the ammount we fish. Any way you can help would be great. Hell, I'll buy you a burger at Orbakers!!!!!! Lee
  9. Howdy all, I am new to bait-making in general and I have never poured my own plastics. What do I need to know to get started? Where can I get supplies? whats a reasonable "starter" set up? Any help from you guys would be great. I am not looking to go into production, but my partner and I go through powerbaits like poop in a goose and we need something to do while the bays are frozen. Thanks in advance, Lee

    Free dremel bits

Hair salons also have some neet do-dads they use for manicures that they will get for you too. They are grinding, polishig/buffig type tools that fit a moto-tool. Lee

Those are fantastic!!!!! 2 questions for you. 1) what did you make the mask for the gill slash out of? 2) what did you use for a scale mask on the lower left lure? I see them at Janns, but I like that size and didnt know what it was. Lee
  14. This is cool! Nice site folks!!!! My name is Lee. I am a shop teacher and a gunsmith. The nice part of those jobs is that I get the summers to fish NON-STOP!!!! (ya jealous?) Any how, I have always admired custom made anything, thats why I make guns. The stuff YOU guys do, puts custom stuff in a price range anyone can afford. All my buddies are fiserman as well and I am getting tired of bying them cigars and booze for holidays. Hand made lures are the answer!( their wives thank me!) Iknow for a fact that there is no greater rush than harvesting big game with a gun I built loaded with rounds that I made. I cant wait for the rush of an 8 lb largemouth on a lure from my custom shop!!! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and learn and , maybe teach some of you a trick or two that I have up my sleeve. I'm not to old to go back to school. Like my dear ol' grandpa said,"knowledge shared is knowledge used". Lee
