Here's a link to what i use in my paints, plastics, topcoats etc. Never had a problem with using and the basic colors can be bought at hobby lobby if you want to check them out
are you guys sealing the pvc with anything before priming or just priming then painting I've got a 7.5 swimbait ready to finish and need the info.
This stuff is great for making swimbaits. A little harder to carve than the popular I was using but so far far I don't think I'll be going back to wood
i personally don't like etex because my lure turner spins to slow etex puddles on the bait for me i like devcon and use it exclusively and as far as which is best who knows and who cares if you like what your using stick with it cause everybody has a opinion about what best and we all know the old saying about opinions
here is my version of that bait I like a clear bill but do make some with pc board and they will catch fish like crazy!

it's my experience that all pearls & metallics have to be thinned and mixed properly in order to spray in my vl i use #1 at 40psi. most of the time unless I'm going for real tight spray patterns then some times i take the nose cap off for a really fine pattern. A jig saw with a large enough spring clamp to hold the bottle work great as a mixer.
thanks for the heads up on the elmers never even thought about water getting in i was dipping in melted plastic spoons&thinner but having a air bubble problem. What kind of sanding sealer? do i need to use
OK guys while working on the last batch of baits i stumbled upon what i think will the best sealer for balsa simply apply two coats of Elmer's wood glue letting dry and sanding between coats it really stiffens up the balsa and give you a great surface to apply base coat as long as you use a flat white from a spray can as i do (flat white Krylon fast dry enamel)
I bought 8 lohr's 4 ll20 & 4 ll10s off ebay some sya wood lure on pack some don't i broke one screw eye on a ll20 and when i repaired seems this bait was foam don't know about the others i've caught fish on both sizes but these are some the hardest lures to tune right i've ever owned but once you fine the sweet spot they seem to stay tuned (so far) I like the shape of the body the ll20 was the inspiration behind the 20ftrs i post link to earlier but mine are balsa and a little heavier.
All i know which isn't much is they showed me one machine that used wire to cut i think they used it to cutout the punch part as for the other i don't know
