  1. Be patient (I know it’s hard) and accept that you’ll need to clean it everyday. It’s just the nature of the beast, it will get easier over time.
  2. ....still has vmaxx looking always, Thanks John
  3. Etex or flex coat were the other 2 that come to mind, constant battle with differing opinions back then
  4. Glad to see some of the older members still kicking! I joined back in 03 and still remember all the topcoat arguments lol, somethings you never forget, Skeeters knowledge on the NC. crankbait makers, Blades spinnerbaits ( the nicest I’ve ever owned ), Dean, another Ky builder the finest gentleman you’ll ever meet. I miss those late nights reading the forums.

  13. I paint alot of the 3/4 oz TAs..... I think they have went down hill after they moved production into Mexico and now it's China I think, Luckily I have been building up a pretty good kitty of the US made TA's:) they can still be bought but the price has been climbing
  14. I have also used the water slide paper for different things,I bought mine in a pkg of 5 from Micro-Mark: The Small Tool Specialists | Tools and Supplies for Building Scale Models of Railroad Trains, Ships, Planes, Cars, Trucks and More. just be sure to lightly spray some clear as mentioned, 1 sheet will print enough signatures to last years at a small font:)
  15. Easy way for me to do this is clean out an empty Devcon double tube syringe and pour the etex into it. No measuring just one syringe....quick easy and simple:)

  21. I've been experimenting with Valspar crackle finish with little to no success, I've searched the net, searched this forum, sprayed numerous pieces of pvc(test blanks)..... I'm pulling my hair out with no success:mad:. Im spraying a base coat, applying the valspar then shooting a moderate coat over with no luck. Am I missing something here and is the coat Im spraying to lite? The instructions with the finish kinda makes you think your topcoat has to be brushed on? Thanks Stacey:)
  22. Dean very nice, I also like the foil work:worship:
