Can anybody recommend a way to hold down blades for airbrushing? If I hang them off a nail, the air moves them around so I cant get a good finish. There must be a way to hold them steady and be able to get at all the blade. What does anybody here who airbrushes spinner blades do? Im at a loss. Thanks Bob

This is a basic type question. I have an airbrush and have used Createx water based paints in the past on lures and then epoxy coated them because the cleanup was easy (relatively speaking). What is the proper paint lure manufacturers use on spinner blades and hardbaits? Is it oil based? Where is the best place to get it? how much of an issue is cleanup with oil based with an airbrush? Thanks in advance. BP

I want to chime in here because in- lines are my specialty. Ive been using them for 45 years and making them for over 20. .51 is standard for Musky bucktails. They do a number on them but never turn them into pretzels. I personally think you can go slightly smaller .35-.40 range for salmon. Ive had some bend and I just straighten them out and cast again. Personally I feel the lighter wire, the easier the blades spin and thus the slower you can go. Good luck buddy.

Oh forgot to mention the spinners with the beads only, youd be surprised how far they cast with 4-6 lb line or in a creek no problem. I use them for smallmouth when the waters cold and they are in shallow.They spin at wickedly slow speeds. Smallys love these or the brass bodies too. [http://bpspinners.com -

I am making in-spinners and am looking for a coating of some kind (other than nail polish) to hold sparkles on a blade. Epoxy is too heavy. Any recommendations? Dick Nite? I'm not sure how long nail polish will hold up. Thanks
