  1. When you dip your tubes, just dip the head and then the full leanth, and then the body. This will give you a stronger head for hook holding. You may also want to dip at a lower temp. Salt will also help lower the temp of the plastic. Hope this helps, Later, Gary
  2. Try driftwoodlures.com I think they can help with the bulk tubes.
  3. John, Give me a call at the shop, I have his shop number and his home number. Later, gary
  4. The way we cut our tubes is take carpet blades, mount them on a "U" channel and then mount the channel onto a can crusher. This is a lot easier on the arms and you don't have to apply as much pressure. You can build one for around $20.00. Hope this helps. Later, Gary
  5. Bob's Tackle Shack. No doubt the best in price, service, and delivery. Gary
  6. You can build your own cutter with a can crusher, carpet blades, and a piece of "u" metal. first, drill 2 holes on each side of the u chanel so a screw will fit into the slots on the carpet blades. Next set the first blade in place and run the screws through the slots, placs a spacer next then anouther blade, spacer, etc. After you have all the blades in place and spaced, mount the u chanel to the top of the crusher. You will need some gum rubber on the base for the blades to cut all the wat through the tube. You can build this for around $20.00. Hope this helps. Later, Gary
  7. I use 3-g. Easier clean up and holds the color better. Calhoun plastic is not as durable and thier tube plastic is not as good as 3-g. for coloring, we use coolor technologies and polycryl for our fleck. later, gary
  8. We sell to several stores in the surrounding states and the big thing with them is never make a promise you can not keep. A tackle dealer will drop your stuff in a heart beat if you don't keep delivery timly. Also, price your product by what you need to make. ( Cost of plastic, coloring, fleck, scent etc...) Then give the store owner a sugested retail price. Hope this helps. Later, Gary

    SALT

The cargil alberger salt we use is a coarse flack salt. Cargil also has a water solution based salt that is used by the ky.dept. of fish and game for hatching fry. You can pick this type salt up from any southern states dealer. You still have to stirr the plastic but both work great. Hope this helps. Thanks, Gary
  10. you can get the same motor oil color mixing chartruese, amber, and purple. Those are the colors used to make the greenish color motor oil. Hope this helps. thanks, Gary
