i just got some lexan and am ready to start making my own lips for lures but the eye screws are longer than my lexan is thick how do you put a eye for the line tie in and keep it there has anyone tried to melt lexan and pour your own lips

i will be joining wood with soft plastic i was thinking of carveing a notch on the wooden half and makeing a mold that would lock into the notch would it be better to just use glue

i am wanting to try to make a crankbait that is half wood half plastic, the head would be made out of wood and the tail would be plastic what would be the best way to join the two
