I like the way you think. Outside the box has always been good for me as well.
-
worked pretty good. Feathers have nice action when you pulse the retrieve.
-
Thanks for the kind comments.

There you go Ben. Looks good.

Very Nice ! Are they salt impregnated ?
Yes they are. I flour my salt. There is about 25% salt by volumn.
-
Thanks Curt. Been at this over 20 years.

Nice baits Mark; I like the colors. Did you use the foil I sent you one these?
-
Man I thought you got lost. Very nice pours.

It's too late now; you're hooked. lol
Nice pours

Thanks guys. Those are done with my 3 chamber pyrex cup.

I thought so. I much prefer handpours. I like to be able to apply the "art" of pour baits. I used to do 3 color pours for a 6" shad I designed with the third color inside the first color. Check the gallery.

Really nice pouring. I assume this is an open mold.

I like it BP. Body looks like a handgranade.

I hear you(troubles). Just keep your nose in the wind and eveything will work out.
I love this hobby; one can just let your mind go in all directions and no idea is silly. Even if you bugger something up you can learn from that.
I really like messing with colors especially ones that change from one color to another.
Last year I only got 2 fishing trips in all year due to a double hernia. Got that fixed last fall and I can't wait for this season.

I like the look.
I did a "legless" lizard some years ago. Looks differant than yours.(tail was taller and thinner;body was flater and wider). Caught a lot of fish on it. The best result was pouring it with a heavy salt/softner mix.
Yours should work well too.

There is no paint on any of these baits.

Please do not use the name of MY bait as the name of your bait. That's just not nice.
-
This one is actually poured with a heavy salt formula like the stick baits.

The metal is simply zinc flashing you buy in pieces at a building supply.
The metal works for me because I can open the center spout wider or close it down narrower to adjust the flow of the center color. You are right about the cleanup though. It can be a pain at times.

We have a pourer with an imagination. I like it. Great ideas with the bait.
-
Actually Frank, I was thinking the same thing. I'll get a pic up in a day or two.
-
Thanks guys. It's done with my 3 chamber cup.

That's a drop shot bait right? or are they big enough for a shakey head? You made that made from start to finish right? i remember seeing several like it is all kinds of awesome colors.
6" long and my design. It's a fairly big bait; good 1/2" wide at the widest point. Going to post a pic of the gizzmo I came up with to pour like this in a few days.

Couple of years ago I did much the same thing with sculpy clay. I think it was 3 1/2" or 4" long. Poured it like a senko and it fished quite well.

I hear you. I've got a wall full of trophies fishing my own stuff. Most people don't understand that in well fished lakes the fish start to learn what hurts them.
