The ball bearing is there for weight but it also influences the action. I took one out once and the lure didn't have the same action. You can do the same to deep divers by putting suspend dots one on top of the other (2 or 3) at the tip of the diving bill. RL

This style of spinnerbait is not new. It was on the market about ten years ago. It works well in grass but did not catch on with anglers. RL

Hi Rob, One of the best buzz bait that is still available is the Strike King Buzz King. It makes the soft "plop, plop" that you are looking for. It's not expensive and readily available. It has a triple wing, doesn't look like much but catches fish. I use 5/16 oz. RL

: I've been making so of my spinnerbaits for quite a while and the only way I was able to think of to tune ball bearing swivels was with a drill, a piece of wire and some lubricant. This is done one at a time. Is there a better way ? RL
