  1. Does anyone know where I can get glow in the dark plastic. Is it a coloring or is it pre colored? This is a glow snake I made, the top part glows Orange and the bottom doesnt glow so it creates a silhouette at night.I just melted down some glow in the dark crawfish I had for this one.i have some blue ones and purple. Its weird though that the purple glows green and the pink glows purple. The blue actually glows blue. If anyone knows where I can get the plastic or color please help me out. David Cox
  2. Thanks a bunch I do my best with what I have to work with.It works good too i made it for fishing the Bass beds this time of year. Did you see the Jitterbug swimbait I made?I really want to pour my own but my attempts so far have been not up to the quallity that I want.I have not ordered any plastic or anything just been melting old worms to test the molds I made. The Jitterbug is one of the baits I would like to make from scratch and I am one step closer to doing so since I found the lips in a big size like I want. The one in the pic is a Muskie JitterbugXL that I cut the end off of and put cork inside(to make positive it would float)Then I took a "Charlie"swimbait body and glued it on.I ended up doing this to all of my Charlies when a Big Bass broke Charlie's back one day.My friend was fishing a local lake and an eight or nine pound bass took Charlies life. The hook came out of the body and charlie was ripped almost in two. After that I figured I wasnt going to have this happen to me so i made the Jitterbugs.I cant believe they sell those things in saltwater catalogs.Like a big Redfish wouldnt pull the hook right out a big Bass did it in just seconds! Thanks again for the positive comments most of my friends say Im "Cracked Out"LOL!Because I sit around and tinker with making and modification of lures. Tightlines David Cox
  3. I took a weedless rattle jig and put a swimbait body on it.You can see the rattle on the bottom. TIGHTLINES David Cox
  4. This is an old Devils Horse that was my Grampas. I sanded it down and painted it.Put some better props in place of the old ones and added the buzzbait prop in the front,I topped it of with new stinger hooks. This thing makes some serious noise!!I cant wait for summer so I can get some good use out of it!!Let me know what you guys think. TIGHTLINES David Cox
  5. This is what I use spike-it Dip-n-Glow and Color-Rite dipping dye it can be used by paint brush, dip,or in an airbrush. Here is some links= http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpage-LHCRLC.html http://www.zoombaitco.net/acces.html (anglersonline.com)Has spike it dip-n-glow for cheap! hope this helps
  6. Does anyone know where you can get the large offset shank worm type hooks like the one that comes with a Missionfish?I went to a boat show and fishing tournament called Fishstock. Its a boat show fishing seminar and fishing tournament.I met a guy that makes a bunch of different lures for fresh and saltwater. You guys may have seen some of his lures in Cabelas,he has crabs,Crawdads, frogs, shrimp and a mouse that sell all over in stores and online. He has a website but its under construction.(realures.com)He had some prototype lures he broke out after we stopped at his booth for the hundredth time.He had a Mullet topwater lure that "walked the dog"it was a really neat lure like a swimbait yet a topwater and no action in the tail.It did have fins and all though. It was a big lure and the kicker is its weedless! My question is where can you buy those big weedles hooks? You guys should check out this guys site when he gets it back up and running. He had a bunch of prototype lures like a croaker and a pinfish and all of them had the tube through design and a popup hook setup like a missionfish. He said those lures would be available but he wasnt sure when. I hope hes adding all of them to his site and thats why its down. Anyway I guess Ill quit the jaw flappin now.Any info on the hooks would be great!!The sizes Im looking for are as big as 90. TIGHTLINES!! D.C.
  7. You should post a picture of one sounds great.
  8. Its 11 inches long.I have one that I made with a tube through the head with a float for some great topwater strikes!
  9. This is my first working prototype swimbait. Its not perfect but its a start. I think its not bad for some melted old worms!!
  10. This is an eleven inch glow in the dark orange and black snakehead culprit style worm. I made this one for night fishing a topwater worm.
  11. These are some snakes I made from my first silicone and clay molds. Thanks to all you guys at this site that helped me along the way with the tutorials and all.My goal is to pour all my own swimbaits but it is to easy to not make my own worms and things too.
  12. This is a sinking Mirrolure-swimbait hybrid I made.Im not sure what model the mirrolure is its an old old one I salvaged. This is my winter time Speckled Trout lure for when they get thick in the deep holes in Biloxi Back Bay. You guys check out my pics and let me know what you think!!! Peace, David<<<<<
  13. This is a Catch 2000 Mirrolure with a Storm swimbait body. Its a suspending "walk the dog "lure.Just think you can steady reel it or walk the dog just under the surface or stop and go retrieve. The swimbait bodies around these lures makes them feel very lifelike, soft on the outside and hard in the middle.
  14. This is a Mirrolure Top Pup with a 4 in. storm swimbait body. Its a surface walker .
  15. This is a Mirrolure Top Dog I modiefied putting the swimbait body and diving lip on it.Its a shallow diver diving just a few inches. Its perfect for Speckled Trout and Redfish in the shallows here along the Gulf Coast.
