i cleaned my airbrush out real well and it is still not working right.. it seems like it is not sucking up the paint it is just shooting paint out in little spirts at a time and the paint in the color cup is bubbling up. any suggestions? thanks

i need help cleaning my airbrush, my airbrush started spraying the paint out really uneven and i believe i need to clean the internal parts of it any help would be appreciated!

what kind of glitter do you guys use to put in the epoxy for the final coat? where do you get it?

thank you all! yes i agree bigger is harder to make lay down. wow that lure looks amazing! thats not what i was thinking but i definently love the way that thing looks and would love to know how u painted it? have any of you ever seen the silver flake, black top ac plug? that is what i was looking for. but after seeing the picture of that lure on my post i would love to make my lures look like that, once again thank you all of you, bigbrown

thanks for answering, im trying to make my lure look like a kokanee and the magic glitter that im using is really fine, i need bigger glitter peices, cause i want to match the size of a kokanee scale. and i tried big glitter things and they would not lay down flat. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, bigbrown

hey guys, i was wondering how to put the glitter on a bait? ive been using that magic glitter craft glue and just painting it on but i want a little bigger glitter peices so it actually looks like scales. so then i tryed a bigger glitter and mixed it with the epoxy before coating my lure and there were bumps sticking off the side and alot of the glitter peices would not lay down flat. do u just have to carefuly sprinkle it on? and also what would be the nicest glitter to use and where can i get it? thanks guys, bigbrown

thanks skeeter, that is very true, but i do not know where to put the lip or if i need to make it bigger or smaller? do u have any tips for me on where to place the lip or if it needs to be bigger or smaller? i really would love for this experiment to work out, i am amazed at the way the bait looks after what i did to it, but how it looks doesnt matter unless i can get it to track right. thanks again skeeter, bigbrown

thanks riverman, those some good ideas, the bait is already a pretty big bait and it matches the size of the chubs in the lake perfectly, but thank you for the bigger bait idea maybe i will try it with a smaller chub so that the fins and tale dont catch as much water and less skin will take less away from the action, thanks again, bigbrown

when i put a real fish skin with fins on a super shad rap and fish with it there is no more action on it! its disapointing! does anybody have a solution to getting the action back and keeping the fins and skin? thanks alot, bigbrown

thanks riverman, actually i thought i would run into them losing color and stuff too but i have had them made for a good 3 weeks atleast now and they look the exact same as they did when i put them on! devcon is amazing stuff. i have never done a photo finish bait, im interested in it because i want that same scale pattern as a chub but what im really looking for is being able to have all those fins that they have and the scent off the skin because we didnt put any scent on them when we put them in the lake and when we brought them in the were just as smelly as a real chub.thanks for all the info riverman!! i just hope someone will be able to tell me how to keep all the stuff on the bait and still get that out of the box action or maybe even better action. thanks again riverman!! bigbrown

Hey guys i am trying a new thing out with the gold super shad rap rapalas. I am catching chubs which is the main forage for the browns im fishing for and then i skin the chubs leaving all the fins/tail on the skin and i slide it over the bait which fits almost perfectly then i paint the eyes and gills onto the skin and then i devcon the whole lure. On some of them i will leave strips of skin without devconning them so i can have the scent when im fishing them. But when i got up to the lake the action on them was totally gone and they went to there sides alot!!!! very dissapointing!!! i was wondering if any of you guys that make these swimbaits and stuff know how i could get it to still have the out of the box action or atleast any action at all with the skin and the tale/fins still attached? this would help me out tons!!! thanks so much, bigbrown
