  1. If I had to do it all over again I would by an x box. There are more games for the ps2 but with the x box you can add a hard drive to it. Then all you do is rent a game you want and copy it to your system. You can also do the same with dvd's. To have one installed only costs about $100 but well worth it. That is like the cost of 3 games!
  2. Rapala pro fishing was released for playstation 2 today. I picked up my copy a few hours ago and cant put it down! It is awsome!!! I am not a big video game guy but this game has me HOOKED! It is fairly complicated but very fun! You get to drive the boat,(225 horses) and pick your spot. There are many lures to chose from in your tackle box as well as different poles and line strength. You can fish tournaments or free fish. You can even control the weather. I would recomend this game to anyone with a PS 2. It should run you about 30 bucks.
  3. try taking a paint brush and painting a layer of plaster onto your model instead of just pouring it over it. After you have brushed on a good layer pour the rest of your plaster slowly and into one corner of your mold box so that the plaster slowly rises over your model. Make sure not to pour plaster directly over model because it can trap air! That should do the trick!
  4. If you let some worm softner soak in your little pans the plastic residue will come out. I had the same problem with my pans too! good luck
  5. What is the best bang for your buck from smooth-on? I bought a gallon of platinum smooth-sil 30 but have not used it yet. I saw that somebody mentioned mold max. How does that compare to smooth-sil? I paid $109 for the gallon I have. Should I stay with the platinum series or go with something else?
  6. I am wearing mine right now! Thanx Red!!!
  7. I used to be a sales manager for a company that provided a service like the one described in the email. DONT BUY IT!!! If you are interested in placing in search engines just modify your meta-tags and buy the software that submits you automaticaly each month. Dont waste your money having somebody else do it!!
  8. What do you guys think about starting a sticky for all of the suppliers we use? I know that is one of the first things a new guy needs to know is where to get supplies. It would be a great reference point when looking for less common items,"like special packaging, web hosting, etc.". It might save some people,"myself includid" alot of time not having to pick through the archives. Just a thought. What do you guys think?
  9. I read somewhere on another site that if you pack your mix in dry ice it can extend the working time up to 24 hours!!! I think that was what redg8tor was touching on. As far as the heat goes I have to agree that it is thinnig out the mix rather than prolonging it. It does not make sense that heating it up and cooling it down would have the same effect,(at least not logically).
  10. thought you guys might be interested in this!!! http://www.calfishing.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=5&topic_id=4927&mesg_id=4927&page=
  11. How long and on what temp. should I bake my water putty mold for to release all the moisture before sealing it? Also, what should I use as a release agent between pours when making a 2 part mold? Thanx!
  12. I need the pros advice! I am ready to order plastic but am not sure which company to go with. It seems like everybody has there favorite but I was wondering if I could get some suggestions. Also, does anybody sell plastic wholesale? I have a wholesale license for another business and was hoping to put it to good use with my hobby too! thanx!
  13. when using plaster to pour a two part mold what should I use to keep the first pour from sticking to the second pour? what should I use when using liquid resin,(from local auto parts store)? :
  14. I like to use a glossy high heat resistant spray paint like the kind you would use on an engine block. It protects your mold from heat and leaves a very shiny surface. REMEMBER... the smoother the finish on your mold the less texture it will leave on your bait!
  15. sorry for the false alarm guys!!! All I had to do is open my eyes and there it is  !!!
