  1. Its been ages since I have posted here. I have baits thats been beat around for years and still going. On the water repairs usually consisted of setting the bait out to dry on the deck of the boat and a quick seal with super glue. Sealing the bait before any paint was applied was my best insurance to keeping a wood bait together. Super glue is an amazing sealer and it soaks into the wood. It sands smooth and allows for a nice base for a good primer. As far as clear coats goes, its been beat to death for years. I have had the best results using epoxy and high soild two part clears. 2. I use nothing but Badgers, I have a 150, 155, and a 175. The 175 is my work horse.

  13. The mixers are great for long cure epoxys like flex coat and etex but for the guys using devcon and other fast curing epoxies I wouldnt use it. As far as clean up all you do is add another disposable cup in the mixer. The mixer works by twisting the cup at an angle and you drop a short solid steel rod in the cup. As the cup turns the rod rolls in the cup and mixes the epoxy. The guys making rods use them with the slower setting epoxies.

  19. Just rub a little on the threads and reassemble. It doesnr take much at all to do the job. You dont have to coat the entire threads either, just a pass down one side and it will seal when you assemble the nozzle.

    airbrush

If your cup is bubbling the brush is partially stopped up where the internal mix takes place and at the nozzle. What happens is the air is not getting out of the nozzle like it should and its blowing back through the cup. If you are using water based paints give it a good cleaning with regular Windex. Remove the nozzle and clean it good and look for dried paint in the nozzle and in the airbrush itself. It will build up over time and reduce the brushes capabilities until you notice it. While painting I back flush the brush in-between colors with Windex. I add a little Windex in the cup and place a finger over the nozzle. Press the air and slowly pull back and the cup will bubble. Then I remove my finger and let the Windex spray through the brush. This does a good gob of getting the residue paint out of the cup.
