  3. Hey guys! I don't know if this is the right forum to post this but, is or has anyone turned their own slip floats? I'm wanting to turn some specialized panfish slip floats. right now I've done some with balsa. They are alright but was looking for any ideas for other wood suggestions. The slip tube that I'm using is aluminium and stainless steel. Thanks!

  8. I have craved out a few "plugs" to make molds off of. I was considering silicon for the detail but how duriable is the silicon mold making compound? Is it easy to work with?
  9. Great frogs man!! Is that a mold of your own or did you purchse it from someone?
  10. Thanks Fatfingers! I can't wait to start this venture. Do nyou of any books that relate to airbrush instruction and or introduction. I'm a reader and "reseacher" before I go full in. Thanks again!
  11. Good Morning to all! I spent a good portion of last night looking at all the pictures. You all have amazing talent! All baits I looked at, simply outstanding! I've been considering the purchase of a air brush setup. I know very little about the equipment, you what works , whats good, whats the best. I would take all advise I can get. Thank you all for your time. Patrick:worship:

  13. Hey to all!! I've resurfaced! I made a post on here years ago. It was just one post reguarding lathe construction for panfish slip floats. That idea is has come and gone. I've been busy with custom rods. I'm also enrolled in college now and will be starting in the fall. Graphic Design will be my major. I'm hoping to get a master's in Industrial Design from University of Cincinnati. That is along way off. 33 years old and a freshman in college!! Scary stuff!! My hopes and dreams are to design hardbaits and softbaits for a lure manufacture. I forgot how great this website was. I rediscovered it when duing a search for custom mold makers. Sorry for being so long winded! Be chatin' with you all soon and often!!
  14. Thank you very much for the tip :!:
  15. Hello to everyone I'm about 5 minutes new to this site. It looks great! I have been trying to build a small lathe for building slip floats for quite a long time now and I'm having no luck. I did manage to build one using a small desk top fan motor and some Dremel parts but that broke a while back, it wasn't that good anyway! My question is does anyone have any plans(parts list) or know of a small lathe that can be chucked with a small 1/4" Jacobs chuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
