  1. wow you are right thats too high, you can buy glass eyes for that lol
  2. yes its a "glue" and you do mix it (well) but you want the 30 minute stuff not the 5 minute kind, its also at most walmarts. look up drying wheels in the search, thats something you will need to prevent the epoxy from running to one end of your bait (you can hand turn but its monotonous to do so)
  3. lumpy and it also yellows very quicky
  4. A clear eye with no post would be great, that way you could paint the realistic shaped pupils and whatever eye color you wanted on them.

    My second family........

since they are generic bodies, and with your paint on them you can name them whatever you want (thats not copyrighted)
  6. Bomber matte finishes on the older models is not clear coated at all, Lucky crafts are, just look at the lips on them, its matte as well because its got the matte clear but no color under it. I have a way that I do my matte finishes and would gladly share if I had came up with it, but because I didn't I cannot divulge the person's secret.

    Old Bait???

I don't know what it is, but I like the wire on the bottom of the lip to help it go around cover, very cool idea.
  8. basshunter is his ID on ebay (might be some numbers after that on second thought but if you search you can find his lures easily enough there)

  10. Thanks guys, got a shot of it on today, im already working on my short sleeve one which will be a different design completely.
  11. Had to show off my '08 Tournament jersey. My own artwork over a stock background from www.animalpaintball.com
  12. try sanding your primer before painting, that primer might not be letting the paint bite into it
  13. the mixer says it takes 3 to 5 minutes to mix 6 oz of epoxy, maybe i'm doing it wrong but my epoxy is too thick to use after just a couple of minutes. I don't see how a mixer can work if it takes that long. Seems like the epoxy will be too thick to use by the time its mixed using that thing. Maybe they misprinted at Jann's on the time. Oh and I personally use a popsicle stick and a foam or paper plate to mix on. I stir a while, then fold, stir then fold, then I add my glitter and stir and fold one more time before applying. I get 2 to 3 lures per mixing before its too thick to use.
  14. If he hasn't figured it out since 2003 he probably gave up and got a new hobby lol
  15. Gotta be safer than Welding, and they let school kids do that, sounds like a great idea to me.

    NEW SWIMBAITS

dont listen to them lol, just kidding, but in honesty remember sometimes the fish are not after photorealism. Sometimes the differences you put into your colors are what make them work.

    Table Rock Special

The way it still has the white on it rather than an entire chart. belly, I'd say that would be more of a "sexy shad" than Table rock, but either way its HOT!
  18. thanks for the link, I use the xacto's and 1.31 each for 24 or more is a lot better than 2.12 that I am currently paying. I have 26 or so right now, but will spring for 25 more at that price.
