I make mine with five 'arms', but only use three for hooks/lures. The other two; I use weights to make it swim upright. BTW; I use castnet leads for weights on the 'arms' I also make a 'C2 Rig' which is essentially a spreader bar with a heavy jig on the bottom with a swimmer jig with teaser on each of the other two 'arms' JMHO C2

I want to pour some saltwater jigs using EC2190 and EC 541 type hooks. The problem is that they don't come in stainless or plated; AFIK. My question is: Does anyone know what, and if, these hooks are available in SS or plated. If not; a substitute type and number. Thanks. C2

I make heavy saltwater flies and jigs, but it would work for others. I use braid fishing line. A 20# test only has the diameter of 4 lb test mono. I've never had one break. Also; the advice on checking your bobbin is good. It can cause many mysterious thread breakages. I use used fishing line. Just wash it to remove any impurities. JMHO C2

Ditto on the heated mold and hooks.. I bought an inexpensive hot plate to place the mold on to keep the mold hot between pours. It doesn't have to be red hot.. I do soot my mold using a candle which helps wonderfully. C2
