  1. Shorty's is the best I have found if you have a tax id. If not they have a website www.captainhookswarehouse.com to buy them retail. Good people. I have never had a problem in 13 years.

    Lip Glue

5 minute Devcon epoxy works best for me.
  3. forgot to mention I buy my powder 1 to 5 lbs at a time.
  4. My figures came up to less than a penny each...probably closer to 1/2 a penny each.
  5. I have had good luck with .045 and .052 wires. They .045 has plenty of strength.
  6. I got another question. I see the links to buy from retailers but cant find the clamping racks anywhere. I shot them an email but havent heard back yet. Anyone know where to purchase these? Thanks
  7. Fatman, I think that is exactly what I want. Cant believe I haven't seen that before. Thank you.
  8. Thanks for your help. I am using a regular kitchen oven and bake anything from 1/8oz. shaky head to a 1oz. football head. I am currently using the all thread rod method and bake about 300 football heads at a time. I have seen a contraption (lol) where 25 to 30 heads are clamped together. They are then heated in the oven, removed, sprayed with powder paint and inserted back in to bake. My problem is rigging something strong enough that will hold 1oz football heads without them sliding around. Hope this helps you understand what I want to do.
  9. just wondering if anyone will share an idea with me. I'm working on a rack to hold alot of heads so i can paint them and bake them faster. So far I haven't figured out a great way to do this..My trouble is the heads want to slide around and thats not good as you know. I have tried a few different things and cant seem to accomplish what I want to do. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  10. We call this color Dan Marino around here. I had a hard time matching it, but the paint store where I buy my paints matched it perfectly for me at no extra cost. Maybe you can check with local auto paint stores and see if they will match it. Hope this helps.
  11. I have to agree with Rookie 100%..By the time I sand, wash a bait, tape it off, primer, white base coat, white pearl it, then add 2-6 colors and wipe it down, clear coat it.it is worth the $10 I charge.
  12. Same here, Just finished a big order for a guy. All DT 16 and 20. They paint p nice....Just scuff and paint. That is all I do. I use a primer that bonds well. Tried to post pic, but there are all too big. Any help with that problem?
  13. I keep mine in Plano 3700 boxes and tape the label from the originl package on the bottom so i know the number to reorder. Best method I have found so far.
  14. You should try Skirts Plus. I have dealt with them for 13 years without one complaint. Also Z-man has a little better prices but I've always gotten fast service with Eric at Skirts Plus. They don't have a god website, but email or call them and they will send you a pricelist and some samples.
