  1. Good Job! This is how I do mine as well. I got a small piece of Aluminum from home depot that I cut and made a divider to make a handful of pouring cups, if you need more or don't have an old cup to cut up.
  2. I made divided cups out of the aluminum pouring pans. Heat them up on a burner. Absolutely no issues. May be an alternative if you don't 'have' to use the microwave for laminates.
  3. Milrtyme24, The hotter the plastic is when you pour the more shrinkage you will have. Try pouring with the plastic only as hot as you need to pour. Don't over pour, but top it off as shrinkage occurs.
  4. You guys crack me up. A guy tests out a new product and reports back on it and everyone jumps his case. The way I see it he answered questions most pourers would ask before they were asked. Looks like a good product, remind me not to sign up for that job!
  5. I would say to get Watermelon & Rootbeer, Black & White, then get your primary colors and you can mix whatever color you want.
  6. Bob, I know you make your own molds, certainly not criticizing, and have no experience with cnc but do recall seeing some of your molds and thinking with the size runner you would have a lot of waste. Have you tinkered with the size sprue/runner leading to the mold to reduce waste?
  7. Nice video...I voted, good luck.
  8. yep...sounds like your not mixing it with water, or maybe not enough water. As 152nd stated make sure your mixing it 50/50
  9. I was looking for a mold simliar a while back. There was nothing with the curled tail in production. Seems like I remember someone saying it was do-able but would to be a three or four piece mold. I haven't seen anything come out though.
  10. Just curious, do crayons make the plastic firmer? Seems like the wax would make the bait stiffer.
  11. DaveFarley, if you are hand pouring a two piece mold you can pour half the mold while open, pour the vein on top of that half, then close the mold and pour the second half.
  12. I have had this happen also when I get towards the end of a gallon jug. I assumed it was from the hard pack and me not properly mixing every time making the ratio off. I have only used Lurecraft and assumed they all hardpacked about the same. Do other brands not hardpack as much?
  13. There was a mold maker on here (don't remember which one)who I remember posted that more of the mold was ground away on hand pour molds to help venting. So more of the surface where the molds meet is gone. When you look at the hand pour mold put together you can see a slight gap. I'm sure when you inject the the second cavity you are forcing gases in to first pushing plastic out. I would try shooting slower, or a few have been making adapters to place on the top and shoot the mold all cavities at once. I'm sure this would correct as the plastic is being pushed in all cavities together.
  14. A few minutes, give or take
  15. The two piece Diamond Tail retails for $90. Is it one or two piece mold?
