  1. I need something smaller than the WP90. I'm wade fishing creeks & limited to 1 rod most of the time. I need to be able to cut off my shaky head & tie on a topwater. Of course I could always use a PopR style bait, but they don't make the sound of a WP. So that's why I'm hunting for a finesse model. Btw, I was very disappointed in the megabass cicadas. They're going back to TW.
  2. I gotta bunch of cicada toowaters off eBay. They really look nice. I think they can be molded with Dahlbergs process too. Pour a mold with few big cicadas. I doubt it's that hard.
  3. Let us know if they work. I will gladly break down a WP double buzz
  4. Do you have a link to the parts you suggested?
  5. I need a smaller version of the WP90, something like a WP45..
  6. After watching the Larry Dahlberg videos on youtube, it got me to start tinkering with my tackle. I want to build a finesse whopper plopper for smallmouth. Shrink the WP90 down 50% in size, a WP45 if you will. Something that I can throw on my shaky head rod with 8lb test & spinning gear. River fishing really limits me to 1 rod soemtimes, so I've gotta need for the finesse version. I will keep you posted as I get ready to start ordering supplies & tinkering with molds for the very first time. I realize how deep this rabbit hole can be, Ive got 4 airbrushes & 60 bottles of createx already.
  7. I took a few baits out of my old boxes & stole parts off other lures to make a whopper plopper type action on existing topwaters. I tried to use the highest quality swivels, but I think its too much chain. The boot tails are from little yum money minnows. Im one step closer to becoming a full time lure addict. Lol
  8. I keep getting fish eye with Etex & D2T. I wear gloves 100% of the time. In my case, I believe it's the auto air gem ruby paint. Something about color shift chameleon paint that reacts with the epoxy. D2T gets minimal fish eye but Etex is covered in fish eye. I never have this problem with standard createx paint. But I haven't used the intercoat over the createx before spraying gem ruby over it. The lack of inter-coat might be the real culprit. That's what the tech guy at coast air told me today.
  9. Dude that made my day. I hated stencils & this is so much easier. Going to try it next week.
  10. Plasti dip gets cloudy looking if you spray when AT is below 70 degrees. Otherwise it's quick & Easy, but it's got fumes like krylon rattle cans. So I had to quit spraying in garage & started spraying outdoors. Not too many 70 degree days in wintertime in the Ozarks. Does solarez have a strong odor like acetone? Also, do you normally wear a respirator during the clear process?
  11. They're brick walls & im not planning to live here more than another year. So cracking the garage door is the best idea. I paint a lot at night in the dead of winter & its 35-45degrres in the there for 3 months. The garage has a partition wall separated the converted garage room. You can pull a mower or atv in here but that's all. I'm guessing it's 10ft x 24ft Space that I'm painting in. The other 2/3 of the garage is my kids play room. So I can't let fumes build up in my little garage space. The previous owner built an odd layout.
  12. The garage door is 16ft long, it's a 2 car garage. Could I cut a hole in the door & mount a louvre with a quick disconnect ?
  13. Do I have to worry about combustibles like spraying clear coat? Will it cause the fan to explode? I just got off the phone with coast air, but they didn't tell me much.
  14. Have you tried plasti dip? I really like it but man it can be difficult at times.
