  1. What is the name of the bait that Del's plug craw is based off of? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I think shawn collins has that mold....
  3. I requested 2lb's of each in my email, I just wanted to post here as well. Thanks again. I really appreciate your kindness.
  4. I must say that I am very intrigued as to your process, as a beginner to create such an amazing result. I know that there are a lot of different ideas out there and the trick is to wade through them and to let the cream rise to the top... what was the cream that you found? Thank you for sharing.
  5. Someone a while back posted a how-to on turning cheap-o walmart jerkbaits into quality baits, anyway I want to combine that with foiling to really have a nice product when I'm done. What my question is... can I seal in the foiling and tissue w/either epoxy or clear nail polish? And also, has anyone tried adding the tissue part of a foiling technique to a bait that already has a foil look on it. I really want to create a bait that looks like a smelt to target the smallies up here in upstate ny. I don't make a lot of hard baits, so buying a 1/2 gallon of etex seems real expensive, and devcon too, so if I could get away with stealing the old ladies nail polish and sealing a plastic bait up I'd be pumped.
  6. For the weather your talking I'd go with a suspending jerk bait, chatterbait, spinnerbait, and a jig/pig if the wind is calm. With high wind there's no way that your going to have a chance with a jig. I'd spend 3/4 the day with a suspending jerk bait in my hand personally.
  7. I have to wonder if the increased number of requests for large worm bait molds is a direct relation to the Falcon lake tourney where the pro's just blew em out on massive worms.
  8. I have had lurecraft send me samples.... They sent them with a sizable order that I placed. Good companies treat good customers well, and lurecraft has shown me nothing but great customer service coupled with a large selection.
  9. The new stuff from Lurecraft really is a big step up. I have to say that I really like the direction they are heading.
  10. I'm probably wrong, but I thought the difference was the direction of the hook eye.
  11. You could make a mold with durhams water putty... I think there was a tutorial on here on how to do that, I believe it was a tutorial on spinnerbait molds, but you could adapt it.
  12. I'd like to put another good word in for the "Psycho Skirts" that come from getbit. They are far better than Yamamoto's
  13. Please be very careful with the fully round senko mold. I burnt my hand really bad with that mold. I have poured exactly 1 bait with that mold and never plan on pouring another.
  14. I haven't done this yet, but it sounds like the amount to use is much closer to what you'd use for glitter than what you'd use for salt.
