  1. I have found in my experiences that using Sufix line helps with back lashes. I am not sure what it is about it but when you get a birds nest, you can just pull it all out and keep on going. For some reason it does not knot as bad as some other lines. Back lashes happen to everyone but not having to pick out all the knots makes it much easier to put behind you. Hope it helps. unknown

    Loose Wire

Thanks for all the info, i guess i am getting them a little too hot, i do use a torch to heat them up. I use pliers to pull the bait from the mold, that way i will not loosen the wire from the head. I like the s form too i will give that a shot if this does not work. Fields

    Loose Wire

I've been pouring spinner baits for a number of months now and I have noticed a problem when I paint them. I use powder paint and when I heat the head of the spinner bait and paint it the wire will loosen in the head of the bait, it will not happen to all of them. After it cools the wire is still loose. Is there a way to keep this from happening or will it just happen sometimes? Thanks in advance. fields

    Wire Snell

I am trying to bend .035 wire around the shank of a hook like a snell. Anyone have any idea of how to do this and make it neat. I have tried using pliers and such but it doesn't turn out very nice, or very tight. I have seen the quick twist tool but i am not sure if it will work on a hook. Any help would be greatly appreciated
