  1. Save yourself a lot of $$$$. Just use your softener as worm oil, I have baits several years old and they are as soft as new. This is the same thing most of the injection companies do. You can add some Hawg scent to the oil if you like. Put your baits in a container, squirt the softener on them and mix well so the baits are evenly coated then put them into your bags.
  2. Many green glitters will change color when overheated. Reduce you temperature in the future to avoid this problem.
  3. From the pictures, it seems that Zoom's problem with your trailer would be the rib on the outer edge of the pincers, that is one of the items specific to their patent. You can change the shape all you want, it it has that rib on it they'll come after you.
  4. Use your softener and add Upper Hand Scents to it, it makes a great worm oil.
  5. The plastic needs to be mixed better the next time.
  6. Ozark just changed ownership. The new owners hope to have the website up and running by Monday,January 5th. Everything should be the same since the original owner has agreed to remain active to assure a smooth change over.
  7. Check out ozarktackle.com. Their glitter is as good as you can find.
  8. Upper Hand it the BEST!!! We but it by the gallon, dilute it with worm oil and it's still better than most other brands. Wouldn't use anything else. Great price, great service, great product.
  9. Brave: When you inject plastic, you don't melt the plastic, it's heated in a sealed heat exchanger. You can only add about 40% of the used material without causing a problem with your injection process. Check out ozarktackle.com, you'll see the same sort of product called regrinds. This save you a lot of $$$ on plastic if you are pouring their colors.
  10. With a Prest Pot you need to stir constantly. Everyone tries to make it really complicated, but all you need is a table top drillpress and a 3" paint stirrer turning around 500-550 RPM. Trust me, I've made several hundred thousand sticks using this method. To keep from discoloring, don't use more than one quart at a time or else you will get discoloration unless you use a stabilizer ( 1/4 cup every 30 minutes). On the Presto you don't need to go over 325 degrees and it will turn out great. The other thing is to use worm oil without scent, the scented oil will cause white, bubble gum, clear, and chartreuse to discolor with time.
  11. Check out the presto pot at www.ozarktackle.com.
  12. Great idea!!! Gary Yamamoto came up with the Senko and didn't patent it. Everyone in the world is making knock-offs now, but I guess since nobody has patented it up until now I should apply for a patent (LMAO). This guy shows a lot of class, I hope he doesn't apply for a patent to "take a dump" or we all in dee Sh--.
  13. Go to www.gobassin.com/scents. Thats Upper Hand Scent-Marinade. Doug makes a great product that many of the folks on TU swear by.
  14. I've seen different deals from the front or the boat or the back of the boat, ie: larger or smaller size trailer on the same color pattern jig, different color plastic or glitter on the same soft plastic, same size and color of crank bait, but one dives deeper than the other. So many variables that to think we can figure out a critter with a brain the size of a bb shows how arrogant we can be. I know a lot of guys have confidence in one or two things, but the infinite number of combinations of color, size, speed, etc. are what makes this an exciting avocation. On any given day, the color, size, speed, texture, and style of bait will determine if you win a tournament or not. By the way, when was the last time anyone saw a camera boat following them? Sad to say I keep looking over my shoulder and don't see the ESPN guys.
