  1. just like cad and fatman said, you need to fix it with JB Weld. You really can't wrong because the JB Weld dries hard enough that if you make a mistake, it can be sanded or grind out to fit.
  2. brendandrage, What kind of lead are you using? (Wheel weights or soft lead; almost pure). I found that you need a higher temp. on the wheel weight type lead then soft lead. Also if you are melting your own wheel weights, be careful of the zinc weights. They can mess up your pot of wheel weight lead. I use as pure of soft lead as I can find for my jigs and spinbaits and save the wheel weight lead for large weights and bullets. Uncleskippy
  3. I have been pouring this mold for about a year with no problems. I always use as pure as possible soft lead. This and the Ultra Minnow Jig is both my favorite ones to paint.
  4. I have been buying from Benjamin for over two years now. His fluid bed works great and he has great prices on his powder paint. Also check him on eBay for a deal on his fluid bed.
  5. Great idea. Keeps them straight. Do you seal the oatmeal containers?
  6. stratmanv, Use Del's idea and put the mold on a "Lazy-Susan" type device to spin your mold while you are pouring it.
  7. Earthworm, I print my own on 2 X 4 labels using my inkjet printer. I spray them lightly with an acrylic gloss sealer from AC More. I also ma decals with decal stock and spray them. Uncleskippy
  8. Went to Harbor Freight Tools yesterday and saw a 1/2 ton Arbour Press for less than $32.00.
  9. What material are you using for the membrane for the paint cup?
  10. Jann's has something they call Scale Masking: http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/scale-masking-vinyl/310015.aspx I bought some years ago to make scales on some plugs. It works pretty good. It comes in a 1 sqft, either fine or course. Uncleskippy
  11. You are SO Right Jim. I have been pouring for little over 2 years and without this site, I would haven't even tried. I have been making jigs and spin baits for about 15 years and I do try to share my knowledge where I have knowledge to share. One of the biggest contributers of tube knowledge is Bojon. This site gets the thinking juices started for me. I haven't posted much, because usually the answer to most questions I read are answered before I get a chance. There are SO MANY Here that help, I can't thank enough. IMO Uncleskippy
  12. JIGNPIG, I do the same. They last also. I have some that are 8 years old. Uncleskippy
  13. cadman, Barlow's Tackleshop has them with the inserts. http://www.barlowstackle.com/new-fishing-tackle.html Uncleskippy
