  1. There is an ebay auction going on at this time for what appears to be a two-piece beaver injection mold....6 cavity and minimum bid was around $250
  2. Spike-It makes Dip N' Glo worm dyes that should work-they do make black
  3. May want to check the pearl coloring you used...I have noticed aged or older pearl colors can yellow a bit while in storage.
  4. I will take the #641 molds if you still have them for the $40-you can send me paypal invoice to thecrew6@verizon.net Thanks, Dale

    Bandits

Wish I could give more specifics about your question, but all I can add is that I have a friend who swears that the Chrome/Blue Back or any of the chrome painted Bandits that have the lip painted chrome have much better action than the newer Bandits that don't have the chrome paint on the bill. They are older models but not sure how much older...
  6. Good responses by all. When using POP, I use the cardboard boxes that my paper checks come in (if anyone still uses paper checks ), line the box with aluminum foil, and pour the POP into the box/foil. It makes a handy form, and you can use both pieces of the box. Coat with Elmer's Glue (I use straight and x 2 VERY lightly to keep from eliminating detail.
  7. I think I saw that heating the injector in a toaster type oven would work too?
  8. I am cleaning out some silicone molds and have 14 Lurecraft jig trailer molds for sale. $3.50 each or $40 for the whole lot. Includes (from left to right) 3 of the x 275 molds, 2 of the x 770 molds, 1 of the x 199 molds, 1 of x 365 mold, 1 of x 265, and 6 of x 62 molds. Shipping on whole lot is 9.50 USPS Priority Flat Rate, or can ship individual for cheaper-depending on amount of molds purchased. All shipping will be actual rates. Still a lot of life left in the molds.
  9. Elmer's is the deal...Cheap and works great...I have never used 50/50 Elmer's/Water... so I can't tell you how that works, but full strength Elmer's takes two coats to finish...Just make sure to brush it in well, and leave no "pools" of glue. Let it dry well before adding the second coat.
  10. POP is fine if you are very careful with it. DWP is much more forgiving....If you are planning on making a large amount of molds, POP is probably your best bet...if you take care of them. DWP seems to last longer for me.
  11. I agree with the above. If you wait too long to pour your second color, it will separate every time. Pour color one, then color number two almost immediately thereafter.
  12. I think color matters more to the fisherman than the bass. I too, have a zillion colors, and have a few friends that really "whack them" on a new color, so I go out and buy or try to match the color and pour a bunch. To me, panfish are more picky with colors since many times, the bait just "sits" in front of them, where most oftentimes, bass fisherman are moving their baits. I think location is obviously more important than color, but do think certain shades of color are better than others. JMO
  13. Don't toss your crooked baits. Drop them in boiling water for about 10 seconds, pull them out of the water, and lay them on a paper towel in their original shape. Let them sit for a couple of days. They will be soft and a bit sticky at first, but they will then be ready to go.
  14. Thanks. Just make sure to keep brushing the groove areas of the mold. If it dries too thick, you will lose the detail. Start with a little glue to the cavity of the mold..and brush in thoroughly..you can always add more.
