Does anyone know where I can purchase this mold ( 2 sided, alum) 3 1/4 inch Thanks

Tucker Gama doesn't make a EWG in a flat eye 60 although Mustad does....... the above mention of the 60 gama 614 hook is a round bend in a light wire flat eye and the 594 is that hook in the heavy wire both great hooks but are round bends.

I use a skill saw with old carbide tip blade does great, cut down both side then a small wedge and hammer will pop the chunk right off, I get large blocks of soft lead at will from local boat company they use the blocks for ballast in sailboats hulls. GREAT LEAD..........

Alumiulite Quick set will do the trick to ya you can get maybe 500 pours on big jigs before it goes bad, you can go to there wed site and they have video that walks you thru it........... also LC does make molds at a reasonable price, theres would get alot more pours. I think Shawn gets around $40 on a signal pour mold.......

Hawnjigs ............ you said it..........you get what you pay for, for my company it is Gama or nothing, I won't chince on a hook and my customers wouldn't like it either.

I have fish and have built jigs for near 30 years now and the best by far for heavy cover is the bullet head jig. I do modify Do-it molds to take a flat eye it seems the flat eye will come OVER debri alot better, as far as hook setting and flat eye has a more positive hookset then a reg eye. I use all Gama hooks so can't point you to a good Mustad, I use the Gama 48414 which is an awesome hook nice wide gap and a strong hook, just my 2 cents worth.

the wire is not going to add any weight at all........ we are talking about a piece of wire when said and done and inch long at most and at 28 gauge, NOTHING AT ALL you would ever notice, your skirt will weigh more............
