  1. Black Haze....I will keep my eyes open for you! Like the other guys stated...it is very expensive to get a multi-cavity mold made...I looked into it as well.
  2. This is what I do...but I will add 1 more thing to the 3D eye tip. I use medium viscosity super glue and a paperclip to apply a VERY small dot in the eye cavity to ensure it stays on during the D2T application. I have had some eyes slip on me.
  3. Being a "furniture guy" I saw that right off...but also saw a nice piece of furniture being used. I have converted old dressers into bathroom vanities and just about anything you could think of...point is: a nice piece of furniture being USED instead of set out on the curb for the trash guy to smash!!
  4. I hadn't either...but a friend of mine said he would like to find some...maybe saltwater??? I dunno!!
  5. 79 views and no response would mean...no longer available.
  6. I own a furniture refinishing shop and respirators are a must in all departments. That said...I am not real sure what the CFM's are above my pouring station, but for kicks and giggles (not funny by the way) I installed a dacron filter over the intake to see exactly what was being expelled out of my shop and not inhaled into my lungs...IT SHOCKED ME BEYOND WORDS!! I have stage 1 Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and was not about to encourage it to reach stage 2 just to pour plastics. I wear an "overkill" respirator and you cannot even smell the plastisol in my shop after we have poured!! DO NOT TAKE CHANCES WITH THIS STUFF!! I will take a pic of this makeshift filter and post it here...trust me, when you see the gunk on this medium you will NEVER pour without a respirator or proper ventilation.
  7. Is this made any longer anf if so...where could I get some or a recipe?? THANKS!!
  8. I did some swim jigs recently and powdered them in white...scaled them with Createx...and epoxied the entire jig...threw it on the floor...not a chip! I did heat cure everything from beginning to end.... I have lacquered over some of my powders with no problems...I'll see if I can locate some pics.
  9. I purchased it....that's all I have to say about that.......Forest Gump
  10. Interesting...a friend had asked me to use a wide gap hook in his brush jigs, but after he saw the Owner hooks I put in them he changed his mind right away. That said, Mustad makes an awesome flat eye hook 38109 I believe, and now since you posted this, you got the wheels turning...thanks!! (HEAVY sarcasm)
  11. Just ordered some Upperhand Scents to add to my plastics WHILE pouring....what are your thoughts? Cooking the scent into the plastic VS adding scent to the bagged product? I have bought plastics BOTH ways and quite honestly cannot say one way or another which I believe is better. But now that I am pouring my own trailers and worms.....would like YOUR opinions.
  12. http://www.mcgillswarehouse.com/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=163 I think this will work and is a good price!!!
  13. Alright...here is what I did: I went to a discount tool supply and bought a load of 1/8" and 3/16" CLEAR shrink tubing...cut 1" lengths of the 1/8" and 2" lengths of the 3/16"....now here is what you do.... force the 1/8" pieces onto the hook eye tight against the head. lightly moisten the weedguards with uh..spit and slide the 3/16 over the weedguard....heat the jig head just enough to melt the paint and swish through the powder....let the painted head cool so the tubing stiffens up...remove the tubing and wah-lah...no paint in the hook eye...and no frayed weedguards...works for me! Use a paint brush and clear it with the water based epoxy and you will have a gorgeous durable jighead!

  15. I have been watching this thread very closely. I obtained (was given) 2.5 gallons of LC 502 and had varied results. I think because it had set for quite a while and most of the hardener had settled to the bottom and produced a softer bait. That said, I shook the living daylights out of the 2nd gallon and loved the results. Now, I am in the market for some more plastic and was looking at Spike It's "medium" in a 5 gallon pail. By far the "cheapest" I have found...but! Has anybody poured with it...thoughts, reviews?
