  1. That would make an incredible cicada if someone built it
  2. Try wrapping it like a guide from several inches past it in both directions.
  3. I called Aluminite and they said they do not carry it anymore but their parent company sells this product that is supposed to take its place. https://polytek.com/products/bc-8655-kwik-kast-ii-blue-urethane-resin
  4. Just make a silicone mold If you find a few. Very easy
  5. It’s really simple to do.
  6. Sounds like it may not have been mixed enough
  7. Awhile back someone showed a tool they made that gave better action to trolled lures by using a disk to catch the top of waves and pulling down the rod and then releasing it causing the lure to dart. It was simply a round disk at the bottom with a hollow tube attached to the center of the disk at a 90 degree angle. A piece of bungee type cord was run thru the tube/disk and tied off. The other end comes out the top of the tube and is attacked to the fishing rod (guide I think) towards the top and hangs down just touching the water. When water catches the disk, it will pull down the rod and let it snap back making the lure move erratically. The plans for this was shown here. I am looking for that posting because I want to build some. Will someone point me to the post or the guy that posted it. Thanks
  8. Try using some heavy duty aluminum foil
  9. Just saw that …… thanks. Don’t know why it came up as a new post.
  10. Soooooo ……… you want to get paid to help students cheat …….. NO NICE
  11. I would not use a microwave for cooking food after I cooked plastisol in it. Microwaves are not that expensive and I wouldn’t take a chance. Besides, it may make your food taste funny or worse.
  12. Thanks for the info ....... just placed an order
  13. Rest In Peace brother ......... I have a bunch of Bears molds and pots and I love them. Bear was always helpful and friendly. He is missed.
  14. I’ve not done that. I’m not sure how or if it would hold up. First, the paint would have to be heated to over 300 degrees for the powder paint to melt and cover. If that did hold up, you would be binding powder paint to an overheated paint so it may not hold up. I don’t know how a regular liquid colorant would be applied to a hard surface without mixing it with a paint substrate. Liquid colorant is supposed to be mixed with another medium like paint or plastisol
  15. After they are made and fully cooled (several days), place them into boiling water for a few seconds ....... maybe 10 seconds. A friend of mine does this with his lures that are store bought and swears it works to make them softer and sturdier
  16. Nightmares are dreams too ........ just make sure yours are not
  17. I thought I saw a discount code for TU members at Lurepartsonline awhile ago. Is there one and what is it?
