  1. I cure the jigheads in an oven but use the gas flame for apllication heat. I watched some of the videos of powder painting with brushes and have thought about playing with that on ponyheads. Is there any certain brush that works better? Thanks again for your help.
  2. Thanks for the tips. I paint over a gas flame, do you think the tape methods will still work. Thanks again.
  3. Didin't find much information when I searched the site on how to powder paint ponyheads without getting the swivels covered. What are your ideas to protect the swivels? Thanks for your help.
  4. So what is the difference in performance or are they two different materials for different applications? I guesse my question is will my baits's color look better with powder colors?
  5. How do I keep my colors, like bubblegum pink, chartreuse, and other light colors from fading?
  6. I have only found one recipe for firetiger. Does anyone have a recipe they would want to share. Thanks for your help. jbd
  7. so I need to make a "prototype" for them to pattern a mold off of?
  8. Has anyone ever tried to modify a one sided plastic mold? I was thinking of cutting one to shorten the bait and uising a heat gun to weld it back together. Do you think the mold would weld?
  9. Yeah I saw that, I need to look into it somemore.
  10. yesterday they finally opened the lake I usually fish, it was closed for a couple months for high water. Today i got to go out. My partner and I probably caught 200 today. Good to hear from you.
  11. Last night I poured and made sure to only have a little bit of plastic in the cup and it worked much better. Thanks again for the tips.
  12. Thanks for the tips. I had noticed that as I poured and the plastic was used up it got easier to do the small stuff.
  13. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to pouring into small molds. I am trying to pour 1 1/2 & 1 1/4 panfish grubs that have the little "legs" on them and have a hard time controlling the plastic coming out of the cup. Thanks for any help.
  14. well texas I see you are branching out ;-)
  15. thanks for the tip, but I have to expose my ignorance, how do I warm up the mold?
