Thanks for the information. I will purchase some of the knives. Using the old lip is a great idea. You people are awesome. Any suggestions how to get a broken lip out of an old bait. I have several.

I am almost ready to paint some reconditioned old poes:(. What is the best way to hold the lures for painting. Have tried the medical clips and block of wood. Tried a search but not much there. Any suggestions. Thank you.

My name is Frank, I am 60 years old and live in Richmond, Indiana. I have been a County Police Officer for 33 years. I no longer work the road I work as Courthouse Security screening everyone entering the Court House. I was a carpenter in the construction business prior and still build pole buildings and about anything else in my spare time. I am raising my two grandkids. I have been fishing for bass for many years and a member of a local bass Club since 1984. I now have time to do other things and have decided to attempt making my own lures. This is all new to me. I hope to be able to learn and give back new ideas some day. I have been researching since becoming a member and buying things as I go. Hope to be making lures soon. Thank you for helping beginners. Without all of you us beginners would be in big trouble.

Where can I find Big-O plastic bodies with a rattle chamber to paint or repaint. I have one original shallow runner and love it. Would like to paint a few more if possible. I am new to lure making this will be my first. Thanks for any help.
