  1. I checked lowes before i did my boat and they only had 13 oz which isn't heavy enough. I used it on my river boat and it didn't last very long. I used 20 oz from the the boat carpet store on the enternet and was very pleased. I used indoor outdoor glue on the deck and floor and tops of lids, iused contact cement for everything that needed folded and it turned out great.
  2. Thanks to this topic i reached my stress mark.
  3. Anyone having trouble with the river smallies site ? I haven't been able to get on for two days.
  4. Thanks, i think i will give this one a try. I only do about 50 or a hundred a year, just for me and a couple of friends.
  5. Well i broke my old vice, never did care for it much. How about some advice on a good vice for under $ 100.00 bucks
  6. Way to go. Having done 3 boats myself i know what you went through. Gives you a certain amount of pride huh. If i wern't so d*&^%m old i'd do another one.
  7. Unless i missed it i didn't see where you are baking your jigs. This must be done to harden the paint. I also go one step further and devcon the paint for a truly tough jig.Do a search, there is a mountain of stuff on here about painting jigs. ( if it ain't here it ain't no where )
  8. I've had very good luck with ol crazy glue from the dollar store. I've used gorilla for other things but due to the mess i just never tried it on jigs.
  9. I really don't see any advantage
  10. Well, i don't sell what i make and i guess cute wasn't really the right word. How about handsome, come to think of it some of them are down right ugly.
  11. Red fish have an eye on both ends, go figure. I don't think it makes any difference i put em on cause it makes em cute.
  12. You will need a drimel. I got the one that came with a box of drill bits and atachments. I had to grind the bottom of my bullet mold for larger hooks very easy job. I think i had to reem out the hook holding area also for the heavy hooks. I think gammy hooks are as good as any but i also use heavy eagle claw they are a lot cheaper and i have no complaints on my part while using them.
  13. I got some blue skirts from him that i use to mix in with my black it looks like the electric blue worms i bought a while back. He's got nice stuff.
  14. You will probley have to modify the oven or rack for something that big. I glued a couple pieces of metal with devcon in mine to raise the rack. ( small oven ) I only bake about 25 AT A TIME.
