  3. Hey Spare Tire I called 3 Menards close to you and they all thought I was crazy! LOL... I was going to try to buy it from them and have them ship it.. I called the store in Escanaba, Marinette, Marquette. Rick
  4. Apple Barrell #20490. NEON YELLOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Bad to the bone! LOL Rick
  5. Maybe I am missing something but I am on Harbor Freight web site and I cant find it.. 129 is the cheapest one I see. Rick
  6. I hope this is the appropriate venue to post this. I am looking for a small lathe that I can buy cheap. I have been looking at new ones but need to find a cheap used one. I want to try my luck at turning some cranks. Us disabled old farts are always looking for a better way to pass time. LOL So if yuou know know someone who has a small lathe collecting dust let me know. Thanks Rick
  7. Go to www.mudhole.com. Click on epoxy and then finish and then Flex Coat. You want the high build formula. Good Stuff! Good luck! Rick
  8. you do not want Flex-Coat LITE Rick
  9. Curing time depends on the product you decide on. I let my flex-coat cure 24 hours before I put another coat or do any other things with the bait. I would want it to cure at least 48 hours before tossing it in the water to let a scaly friend chew on it. LOL No air brush needed for epoxy. Apply it with a brush and it will flow out like glass as long as you have a long enough working time epoxy. Rick
  10. Lost The last one I made was from a 3/4x2x6 pc of oak. I drilled some tight pilot holes for the nails so the nails wouldnt split the wood. Just get nails the same diameter as the eyes you want on your baits..When I got ready to bend some wires I would chuck it up in the workbench vise. Hope this helps.. Rick
  11. Well I think maybe the reason your are lost in the process is that I think most of the folks here are using some sort of epoxy as their finish. I use FlexCoat which is a flexible epoxy. I think you will find that poly-urethane will yellow over time leaving you with some undesirable finishes.. Everyone looks for a better finish. I used a product called duratuff for a little while but it was a laquer based finish and the fumes would kill you if you didn't have extreme ventilation and it dried extremely fast but took too many coats to do that job. So far "I love Flex Coat". Found out about it from Scott Rook Bassmaster Elite Series pro. Hope this helped a little bit!! Rick
  12. Hey Craig Sent you off an email.. Rick
  13. I am quickly finding out that my Paasche VL might leave a lot to be desired. LOL Sure have not been able to get close to that with createx water base. Rick
