  1. The fluid bed is almost new. It comes with 2 spare cups and covers, and 3 one pound containers of Pro-Tec powder paint. Black, White, and Grn Chartreuse. The one pound containers are NOT full. The white is 1/4 ,Black is 1/3, and Grn Char is 1/2 full +/-. It works well for spinnerbaits and jigs. Send me PM if interested. $100 for it all +$10 for shipping. Good fishing to all! Riverrat
  2. Read jrhopkins first post on the bottom, this is why no pics! Last edited by Spike-A-Pike; 2 Days Ago at 11:44 PM. Reason: Rule 3 violation . Big brother is always watching. May be he will post the pic in the gallery.
  3. I have used Titanium Tig welding rod before for spinnerbaits. You can get it at a well outfitted welding shop. I bent it with my pliers. You kinda hafe to go past what you want for a bend because it does spring back a bit. The down side is that its very exspensive. I have tryed tons of wire. Its cool to have Titanium frames but I honestly don't think they work any better than SS. I cant remember what alloy Titanium it was, a buddy got it for me. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas everyone!
  4. An off-the-shelf open front spray booths that comply with all OSHA and NFPA regulations with explosion proof fans run $2500.00 to $3500.00. Another thing that makes me laugh!! How can somthing be "EXPLOSION PROOF"? This guy wants to paint a few baits, that's all. We don't want to scare him away with "EXPLOSION PROOF FANS".
  5. My point about dropshotting and overpriced baits is not about Japan. My point was that this type of fishing and many other rigs were around way before they were cool and new on TV or the Internet, being pushed by big companys American or overseas. Sorry about the spelling on "drop shot" last post. Can't type well I have stubby fingers. Maybe it came across wrong. Also I would not "spent" 20 to 30 bucks on any bait, US or overseas. The simple black worm comment nails what I was trying to say perfectly.
  6. I would just like to share a few things that make me laugh everytime I hear or see them. I will start off with this whole drop shot craze. Every mag, book or website that I see that says this is a technique that started in Japan on highly pressured waters. I now the western boys have been doing this for a while. But Japan, give me a break. I am 30 years old been fishing since I was in diapers. One of the first things I remember learning from Dad was what he called the Yankee rig. It was a bank sinker on the end of the line with a #2 trout hook tied on 12" up the line, add a fresh traped shiner and bingo. I have seen more walleye and Smallmouth fall to this setup than I could count. I'm not saying dad invented this, but it sure as hell was not Japan. Second, what is going on with all these overseas baits. New company pops up puts out a few baits that are hard to get and then charge an arm and leg. I am not saying I have not bought a few baits but damn. We as consumers let this happen. 20-30 dollar cranks. UP yours I say. "HOT NEW BAITS FROM JAPAN" It seems like they are driving and steering our sport. Maybe it's just me but seems screwed up. Buy local and keep the money at home. God bless all the fisherman!
  7. Perfectly said!!! I've seen pages of RAMBLINGS from this moderator also. Posts just to read his own post, something smart to say about everything. I'm sorry if I have forgotten, but I thought this was Jerrys site? Do we still have freedom of speech here or do we have to ask our Moderators first?

  14. I would just like to say that change somtimes sucks, humans by nature don't like change. But if it means paying a few bucks a month to keep TU going then we need to do this. No one knows how this will turn out. I think that some will leave but most of us will stay. As far as any body getting rich or being greedy on 4.99 a month that is pretty funny!!!. I know times are tight and getting tighter with gas and heating oil cost. I know if I could not afford 4.99 amonth I would think about canceling my internet and selling the computer. I wish all involved in running this site the best of luck and thanks for all the hours spent keeping our ideas flying around cyberspace. Checks in the mail!
