  1. My name is Lee. I'm 41 married and have 2 kids 25 and 18. I'm a Senior Technical Consultant for an insurance software manufacture. I have been dabbling in crankbaits and Jigs for about 1 1/2 now. I use what I make to fish local open tournaments and help my friends with skirt colors that they can't buy anymore. This site has been a great place to learn many new and different things. It seems like most of the things that I learned on my own and thought were good ideas turned out to be good ideas because I have read about most of them here. I guess great minds think alike. Either that or some of you guys are in big trouble for thinking like I do (LOL).
  2. The painted lip and shape is why I thought it was a big "O". I did not know about the balsa version until I looked it up and saw the Original like you mentioned JSC. I guess PB will let us know soon.
  3. Are you looking for: Fred Young's Original Big "O"
  4. I use 2 Badger 175 crecendo's one set up with the fine needle and one setup with the medium needle.
  5. Thanks for the information and the kind words. I never tought about running this bait before painting it I was being impatient and wanted to see the final product I guess. Yankee Jigger - "Friday" is a funny movie and the line you quoted is where my screen name comes from LOL. Palmetto Balsa - Thanks for the PM I'll give you a call.
  6. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all of the great information that you provide here. Because of all of you I have created my first hand crafted crankbait. I have been reading for weeks all of the techniques that you all use to create these works of art and now I have done one of my own. I carved this bait from a chunk of cedar that I got from a tree from my back yard. The hook hangers and line tie were hand twisted from some stainless steel wire and the bill was shaped from a piece of plexi glass. The paint is createx sprayed with a Badger Cresendo 175 (1st time I painted a crankbait with an airbrush) and cleared with devcon 2 ton epoxy. I got all of the information about how to make this bait right here and I am proud of the results. With that said there is only one problem with my creation and it
