  1. I can regulate that by varying the height or length of the piece of 2" pipe I use. I simply glue a 2" piece of pipe to the male adapter. I dump a whole jar in there (2 oz.). Figure on it raising up at least one inch when the air is on from an "at rest" level. Regards
  2. Hi Guys, Just got through using the ProTec June Bug color powder paint. (Purple/Green Flake) Comes out like gangbusters. Do any of you guys know where I could get a Black with Blue Flake powder paint? Zorro used to make it. Just wondering if ProTec has it. Thanks

  4. Worked like gangbusters, almost immediately. Will let it go overnight though to get into the nooks and crannies. Thanks.
  5. Thanks very much, will give it a try.
  6. Is there any type of solvent that will remove powder paint? I have some cicada blade baits that I would like to remove the powder paint from by soaking if possible. I was thinking possibly laquer thinner or acetone but would like some advice first. Thanks much.
  7. OK, Built one this weekend and it worked like gangbusters. The paper bag membrane works very well. I also used male and female threaded adapters to hold it in place as recommended elsewhere on here. I had a double discharge type air pump and simply tee'd the lines together to a surplus ice maker water valve which worked well to modulate air flow. I glued the bottom cap onto a 2X3 reducing coupling for a stable base. Overall, very satisfied and I want to thank you guys for the help and guidance. Best regards all.
  8. Thanks very much. I'll give it a try and I'll see if I can aggravate myself. Regards
  9. Thanks a lot! One question, regarding the paper bag. Do I cut a square out of it or simply place the whole bag over the coupling. Won't the bottom of the bag where all the glued flaps are interfere with air flow? I'm also assuming you trim away the excess bag material. Sorry, just trying to visualize this. I'm assuming ABS is a better material to use than PVC. I know ABS fittings tend to "Dry fit" into each other better at any rate. What size aquarium pump have you guys settled on for a fluid bed this size? Thanks very much for your time and valuable info on this.
  10. Hello all. New guy here. Thoroughly fascinated with eventually making a fluid bed myself. How is the "membrane" retained on the bottom of the paint cup? The link to rock bottom lures is dead. Are there any pictures/plans anywhere else? Thanks
