  1. I take a couple of the 3D eyes, lay them on wax paper, paint them the color I want.
  2. In my area, Wal-Mart supports bass fishermen...therefore I support Wal-Mart
  3. If you want to get technical about it....almost every crankbait , jig, spinnerbait, worm and most any bait you can think of ARE SOME FORM OF A KNOCKOFF. All have been copied from something someone else made. Even the hand made baits are a copy. JMO
  4. Are the barbs on the inside or outside, they made both I like the inside barb best send me a pm

    Neo's

Got to agree with you RayburnGuy..Iwata from Japan would be my pick
  6. If you are going to sell your lures remember a few things...you have put in all the labor, all the cost for the materials, all the pain and agony of getting them perfect for use.Don't be afraid to make a nice profit for yourself. The bait shop wants them as cheap as they can get them to make a profit and most (not all) could care less about the time and trouble you put into each bait So with that being said....don't be afraid to price your work. You can't make them and sell them and compete with large companies. Your baits are one of a kind.
  7. Do you allow the Elmers Glue to dry or spray your color on top of it while it is still wet?
  8. As I have said in an earlier post, I have used this DN2 with Createx. I made sure to heat set with a hairdryer between each and every coat of Createx. I use 2 coats of DN2. Waiting 5 hours between coats. I fish my bass crankbaits very hard and for a long period of time before changing baits. So far I have very little hook rash and zero leakage in the DN2. While fishing them I have banged the lures on rock and wood and so far no problems. Although I did break a bill on one, that had no effect on the clearcoat. I always wait at least 3 days before putting them in the water. I guess my point is this...The DN2 has been working for me. It does not mean it will work for everyone but I am very satisfied with the results at this time. JMO
  9. I too tried the new DN and found it to be extremly easy to use. I used a balsa bass lure that was sealed with Devcon. Painted the lure with a white base from Createx. Used the hair dryer to dry base coat and continued with Createx for the final color I Brushed the new DN on and hung it to dry for 5 hours. After that time I brushed on another coat and hung lure by the nose and let the excess clear run off the tail. After 3 days I used the lure and found no problems. I like this new product from DN more than the old product. I don't have to use Bloxygen to keep it fresh, just close the lid and it will be ready for the next time.. I hope to use quite a bit of the new DN in the near future.
  10. I found the best way is just turn the bottles up and allow equal lines side by side ...works great for me

    Devcon 2 Ton

I always wait 24 hours and have never had any problem. The reason I wait that long is I want the first coat solid when I put on the second. No smears
