  1. http://myworld.ebay.com/gilbertspaylakeinky/ This ebay site has alot of Abu Garcia parts. I have seen XLT parts on it.
  2. Lost & mad as all get out at an old jig mold. Now I need to get some paint, skirts & weedguards so I can start fishing with them.
  3. I have had this mold for about 30 years but I had not poured jigs for at least 25. I got fed up w/ paying $2.50 or more for jigs so I ordered some hooks & tried to start pouring about a week ago. I was having problems getting the jigs to pour correctly. I used the search function on this website & I poured about 20 jigs tonight. They came out perfect. The combination off smoking the mold, placing the mold on the pot, oiling the pins & using a piece of wax in the lead worked. I just wanted say thanks to the people that have contributed to this site. & to the newbies out there the search function works! Brett
  4. I had the same thing happen last weekend. I tried to repair it but no luck doing so. I found a replacement from Mike's Reel Repair for less than $40.
  5. Matt, that sounds like a good idea although I don't know how to pull it off. I'm not an expert @ rod building but I'm sure that I could do it w/ few tips from you or someone on this board. Thanks.
  6. I have a couple of casting rods that I want to split the grips but I don't need to do anything w/ the guides. Is it possible to stretch a winding check over the guides? Is there any check that is more flexible than others? What material is suggested? Thanks
  7. I have a Quantam Tour Edition TCF706MC that I don't use anymore so I've decided to experiment on it. I have removed the foregrip & split the rear. I am thinking of doing a spiral wrap on the guides & need to know how to figure out the size, number & placing of them. Also, I would like to extend the butt 2-3" but I don't have any old rods that I can cut to glue in for the cork to attach to. Any help would be appreciated.
