Something new. 4 in minnow, foiled, internal rattle, This one turned out pretty well. I need spring to get here so I can throw this in the lake. Joe

I have had some time on my hands and wanted to get back in the grove. This is a 3.5 in shad style that I have foiled and tried to paint a red ear pattern. I'm trying out some new eyes from bogs, tell me what you think. Joe

They look great! Love the frogs.

@bbduc: It works great as a popper. It has a loud plunker type of sound. When I get tired of plunking it around, I retrieve it at a normal speed and it really sputters like a prop bait. I have only had these out a handful of times and have had some success.

I like it! I have always wanted to try a crackle finish. Maybe this will motivate me to get'er done!

Nice looking baits! Light and Dark for the fish to choose from, a regular schmorgusbordu.

Nice looking pikies! I too like the old school look. The record Musky in Indiana I believe was caught on a newer CCBC plastic jointed pikie.

Mark, thanks for the question.
I do put a coat of devcon over the foil. I put it on very heavy and through it on the wheel. My first couple before this one, I did have some problems with coverage, but this one worked out with one coat. I painted over the devcon and then gave it a second coat. I used 3 sizes of net and made lines on the bottom, that you cannot see in the pic, with 4lb test line under the foil.

All right! That's it! Now you are just rubbing it in! WOW!! This gives me something to aspire to as all of your pieces of art do.

Sorry about this picture, I guess I need to pay attention more pertaining to what file I am choosing from. I wish I knew a way to get this off of the site, If a moderator needs to, that would be great!
Thanks Joe

Thanks Pete, I live in Indiana, and have tried to make something that was fresh and new. Looks and sounds like I just think down under. I do see the similarity between our baits.

Great lookin rainbow. Nice bait!

Thanks, from all of you that means a lot. For the green, I mixed some olive first mixing opac yellow and black. (8 or 9 drops of yellow to 1 drop of black) You can add more yellow to get the color you want. Then I shot some trans. bright yellow on the sides and trans tropical green on the top. I use createx paint hope this helps.

The fins are made from a paint brush. Cut up the paint brush and epoxy it in. Sounds easier than it is.
