  1. I've "accidentally" dyed some on jigs with Spike it. Not sure how consistent the results would be?
  2. Excellent advice my friend...............
  3. Don't quit your day job!
  4. I think it is a Kinami, I have one the exact same color. Seems like I got it through one of the field test deals.
  5. Search for microwave motors on Ebay..........tons of em.
  6. I got one from Bass Tackle that is great. Read the size carefully as the 10" mold makes a 15" worm. They measure at the curve of the tail. I bought the 7.5" mold which makes a worm just over 9.5".
  7. Thanks for the update Jim.
  8. I've bought stuff from them, always good stuff and no problems.
  9. I've been using the same can of DN for 10mo now with no problem. Tap the can is the way to go. One thing about using createx clear to stop wrinkling, make sure to heat set it. I just got a can of AC1315 and tried dipping a freshly done bait with out the protective clear and it wrinkled in seconds almost before I could hang it. It is loaded with Xylene which is a very strong solvent often used as a paint remover. Definitely going to use Createx clear to protect the next try!
  10. Then there is this...........................http://www.amazon.com/Silver-Adhesive-Mylar-20x27-Package/dp/B002544T3I#
  11. This looks like Jones foil.................http://www.dharmatrading.com/paints/icraft-decofoil.html
  12. I emailed 3m and they gave me this phone number to call GTA Venture at 800-343-1076
  13. On the subject of bubbles, I was told by the folks at ISpikeit that Injectasol was not made for microwave use. Of course I had already bought 5gal. It does bubble up something fierce and also settles badly. However it is great plastic if you just mix it up and heat, cool heat again. Can't complain about the results just more time consuming. I have a gallon of Calhoun from Bear and it heats and pours perfectly. I've had good and bad from several different places, must just come from inconsistency in the manufacturing or even storage issues. If you are patient you can work through the issues.
  14. I talked to a buddy that manages a restaurant, he gets salt in any form for about $8 for 25lb bag. I would check with your local bistro.
  15. Cargill and Morton both make this and sell it in 50lb bags. Check their websites for distributors.
  16. You can get the Jones Tones foil here...............................http://www.softexpressions.com/software/emb/JonesFoils.php and here..........http://www.debbiejones.com/Store-Foils.html
  17. You mean this...........................http://jonestones.com/index.php?cPath=2
  18. Hobby Lobby has decal sheets and the fixative. Very easy to print on your printer cut out and apply.
  19. Just put a second coat on. I found that if you don't apply Etex liberally and turn it on a wheel it will fish eye every time. It seems as it cures it shrinks and pulls the finish away in places. Once I started putting it on heavier I had no more problems.
  20. Besides the craw patterns there is a dark brown with orange belly many use in stained water. Green craw is my favorite.
  21. Here in the Ozarks if your not throwing an old Wart you're usually not in the money. I can't say if is the bait or the guy throwing it or both but you see the best bags at a lot of tourney's come on the old warts. Not all colors are equal and it seems the best are the hardest to find.
  22. You can buy lead "nails" from Bass Pro, ect. just for this purpose.
  23. Not really, britebak tape is the way to go.
  24. I've use the Spaz Stix, it won't give you a foil type mirror finish. It is a very bright silver but I would not call it a mirror finish.
