  1. I may try plastic toothpicks...didn't think about that one!
  2. Yeah I've experimented with a hitchhiker too, didn't seem to secure it as well as a notch with toothpicks. The tail actually ripped easier seems like. Or maybe I need to experiment with different tail material.
  3. I'm using a plastisol tail on a swimbait and have been using toothpicks. The only drawback is when it get's wet it expands and is terribly hard to get out. Do you guys have much luck with other things? I was thinking about a screw but didn't know how much that would affect my ballast.
  4. Yeah I couldn't find the conversion either. Didn't know if someone had the specs already on it or not.
  5. Yes i agree it is an awesome concept and honestly seems really hard to pull off! Great job and I hope you sell billions of those!
  6. Guys is a #214 13/16 screw eye equivalent to a .092 13/16?
  7. How long do you guys wait for your resin to cure before priming and painting?
  8. Any of you notice that it's harder to find the d2t and 30 min epoxy? Been to several big box stores and wally world and they all seem to carry only the 5 min cure tmie. Where are you guys getting your epoxies?
  9. I love the paint scheme. If you don't mind sharing it, would you pm me a recipe?
  10. I was wondering does your urethane auto clear "melt" or make your under paints start to run? I'm using a spray can primer that lists as an enamel based product, then shooting some rattle can paints on it, then trying to clear coat it with auto clear. But it seems I have some runs or some of the paint begins to blend together. Do I need to switch to purely urethane based primer and paints?
  11. I live in GA and don't have that long of a cure time. I usually do mine before I go to bed and so it cuts the wait time for me. But I use syringes to measure properly. Obviously use 2 different syringes and make sure you don't mix them. It may be your mix ratio is still wrong or not being mixed properly?
  12. Hey guys, I've been experimenting with a resin pour with Microballoons. I'm using a 1:1 MB to hardener and 1:1 MB to resin ration. I'm not getting a good "Float" with the weights in, it'll hang sideways rather than straight up and down as I'd like. have any of you tried a higher ratio of MB to resin/hardener with success?

  14. nitro, you were right! playing around with it now, it seems a little more weight helped a lot!
  15. It's sideways in stationary position. It lays on the bottom of my tub but lays sideways. It sinks pretty fast with the internal weights in it, but i've only been doing it in about a foot of water. Would you suggest more weight?

  19. I got one of these and haven't regretted at all...it holds your baits at great angles too.
