  1. Here's mine. Sorry I don't use any of Bear's colors (in this recipe) but it should get you close. 8 oz. Plastic 3 tbs salt 38 drops MF Watermelon 1 drop LC Black 2 drops MF Brown 2 smidge .015 gold 2 smidge .015 black
  2. I just use a pair of scissors. It makes a quick straight cut and really, how much salt could be hanging out of the end of a 5" stick?
  3. I have gold smoke pearl. I guess that might get me close, but not near as close as you got.
  4. I couldn't find this on MF's site. Is it discontinued or did I over look it?
  5. That's an easy one... plain plastic, 5 drops brains and lotsa flake! Ooops, wait a minute, there's no brains in it, rest is right on.
  6. Mark... Here's something I've been doing that's working pretty well. Instead of using my free hand to pinch a spout, I use one of those spring steel binder clips to make the spout. Only takes a second to clip it on to pour or off to re-heat.
  7. I drilled 2 holes through the stand right behind the pot. I used 2 pieces of all-thread with an acorn nut and washer on one end. These go up through the holes and are held in place by a regular nut and washer on the top of the stand. The pot backs up against them and I have 2 small (3/4" I think) "L" brackets that slide down the all thread from the top and catch the lip of the pot. These are held down on the pot by wing nuts. With this setup I can remove my stirrer without having the pot unsecured. It also makes it so I can loosen the wing nuts if I want to slide a shim under the back feet to change the slope of the pot and then re-secure it..
  8. Sounds like hilite to me, but I haven't seen it in person, so it's hard to say. I guess now I'm going to have to go out to the garage and try to make it
  9. Interesting... looked like there was some violet in the pic. Wonder why they call it "money shot violet"?
  10. Well.. I'm only out $4 to ship it back. As far as the blades, my thought would have been to maybe try a cut piece of a high temp silicone spatula. The other issue that I didn't address was that because of the 1/2" forward lean my pot has, it didn't want to turn, it stuck at the low side. I'm sure with a level pot it would have rotated fine.
  11. I can tell you that the back is green pumpkin and gold pearl powder.
  12. Actually Dave, I told them on the phone exactly what I used it for. The customer service guy agreed that it shouldn't have done that at only 325.
  13. Well... let me put this one to bed. Evidently, 325 degrees Fahrenheit in the U.S. is hotter than 570 degrees Fahrenheit in China . Within 20 seconds of hitting my 325 degree plastisol, the stirrer paddle melted off. On the bright side, they are going to refund the purchase price and shipping and handling. Oh well.. Somebody had to be the guinea pig.
  14. Not to drag up an old thread, but mine arrived this morning. I tried it out in a pot of water and it works as advertised. If I get a chance, I'll try it in the presto with plastic later. I can see I'll probably have to hand stir the plastic until it passes the gel stage, but after that this thing should work fine.
  15. Don't see a temp rating on the blades either.
  16. I think this is the light hitch he's after Light Hitch
  17. I was only doing 4oz batches in the 2 cup size. Don't think I'd go over 8oz in the 2 cup one, which is all I'll pour from a 2 cup pyrex as well.
  18. Tried these last night and was really pleased with the result. I can pour as fine and well controlled stream from these as I can from my LC pouring pots (the little metal ones). I could never get close to what I can do with these pouring from pyrex.
  19. I found the same ones in the local "kitchen supply" store for 7.99 for the 2 cup size. I've probably walked by them 10 times in the past and never gave them a second thought.
  20. As long as your scent is oil based and not water based it's ok to add it to hot plastic, regardless who made it.
  21. After looking a little closer, I see that there is content on the right side of the main forum page (looks like sponsor stuff) that isn't being displayed in Firefox but it looks fine in IE. Also, in this thread (just one I grabbed at random) example you can not see the right 1/4 of the messages in Firefox or IE.
  22. Looks good now and much smoother... thanks
  23. Mine looks round too. Want me to send you a sample. I just figured that was how you wanted them, but I remember you telling me you had it exact. Bryan
