  1. After all the work done on your lures do you throw them in boxes or display them as a rememberance of what went through on that perticular peice.?
  2. MAAS find it a ace cleans better than new on the shelf pipe.
  3. daughter wears one and they do need to be replaced and also cleaned between the plastic and formed silicon seal. try a full head strap.
  4. hmmmm sounds like a flash back from........... a post ..oh i think i may have mentioned... amazing.. how to connect a swimbait..? oh that's right. Try the Red rubber gasket material in aisle 11 it has material webed inside.
  5. Dude check out my crawdad its final coat is clear nailpolish with metalflake. just dont use it over some paints they melt and crackel.
  6. Connect two cotter pins end to end drill your holes evenly across from each other. at the beginning of the drilled holes enlarge the hole so that the eye of the pin can go deeper if you wish to have less of a gap and for play. i kind of take cutters and score the pins and bend one end up so chances of the epoxy will help hold them in place. other than that glue a bike intertube between sandwich boards drill throughthe side and screw some screws to secure the peices together even more. if that is'nt inginuity i dont know what to say. my secrete is now everybodys, new thought!
  7. It is a series 4300 special FX Metallic color The paint store which carries auto colors ppg and all them colors said they never heard of this color or even had it on their computers. living in southern ca. i had to call a shop in santa barbara to find out how to get this color cause nobody had it on the west coast yet. they gave me auto airs phone number back east in east grandby, ct. go to autoair web to find the number i not shure if i can give that info out on this web site. if you have a auto paint shop that carries autoair they will have the paint chip in the brochure. that flair color is a series 4400 color shift fx. my fall/winter 2008 brochure doesnt have these colors listed. i need the 2009 brochure.
  8. Well it took me quite a while to picture if the trout should have green or a golden yellow green on its back that had transparent color so that you could see the black dots through it. that would be ideal to do,but being new at this i went with other colors thinking man maybe i could do that when i get better at painting and mixing. Like muskysnax I use Autoair colors. On my Trout I do use white everywhere then black (sealer dark) on the back. these are considered the seal coats. My first color for entire body is matallic sparklescent white. Then on the sides a very light coat of Transparent Grey over a plastic mesh for scales. Another coat of matallic white. A Transparent light coat of Magenta. Then there is a color called Hot Rod Sparkle White. Man you want this lure to bling sparkle this does it. use a resperator for this color though. micro flakes fly everwhere. After all that fun stuff i paint the top with Matallic Fastback Green. Make random dots everywhere you think they should be then clear coat, all these colors are waterbase so they are safe and easy to clean up. like snax mentioned to add colors together try also the green with gold matallic you"ll get so awesome colors down to a chartruse if you mix more gold. the magenta can be used to make other colors also.remember the rainbows of mixing colors and you wont need all them trippy colors out there. Createx colors are great the same.grab some colors and mix custom colors and you'll find out that is more satisfying than basic colors. just like the lures made on tu.all custom!

    Jiga Jig

I can relate to this invention. I really "DIG" this since i do have these little microjets in my department at the depot. Thanks for another way to think of tackle underground while at work Pete.

    articulated pectoral fins

Another advancement in lure building by paying attention to detail. Your work pays off and it shows.
  11. 4 lb er hits the pan killer jig and interrupted my concentration on the blue gills today. I will take that anyday.

  15. That just might be the color. The Flair colors are about 60 bucks for 4 oz. if your interested through Auto Air colors. I special ordered a matallic fastback green for my rainbow trout and that was pricy but the final outcome was worth it. Not to mention I was told that i was the only one on the west coast that had it at the time. New colors are Kewl if you can afford them though.
