    Here is my 5" creeper. It's lathe turned, with 3/0 mustad 4X hooks and 3X super split rings. Done in my red wing black bird pattern.

    This bait is 4.5" long and made of spannish cedar. I wanted to make something a little different and I can't wait to try this on out!
  8. Hey guys, just wondering if anybody has ever put fur or fake fur on a lure. I want to make a couple of different rodent lures and would like to know what to do to get them to look as real as possible. Thanks
  9. i have made some ugly crankbaits and they are my fish catchin' baits! I believe the action of the bait catches the attention of the fish not color in most cases. Just my 2 cents worth

    finally made a swimbait that swims good. this one is 4.5 inches long.

    this is my balsa pigtail frog. you are right this frog lunges forward and the wood part of the legs make the baits "spit" giving it a little more attracting action. this is my first one i have made out of balsa. i normally make them out of cedar. i had to put a balast weight in the balsa frog to keep it from rolling. thanks for the comps

    here is my first decoy. 5" long made of basswood. its weighted also. had fun carving and making this! now if only spear fishing was legal in ohio

    i use foil tape. i use the tape they sell at wal mart because it is thiner and dont have as much adhesive making it easier to smooth out.
