just wanted to get a feel for what brands of paint everyone used whether its createx, auto air, house of kolor and which is the best for painting lures.

I have one and i like it havent had any problems with it yet.

how do i add weight to make my swimbait to make it swim. Can i use split shots for weight or do i have to melt lead into it

where can i get the micro fibers that i see in the swimbaits you guys are making.

i use createx for paint and you might want to go with a good airbrush from badger or iwata

go with the gravity feed brush, its easier to clean the brush out, and it paints better.

I want to make a swimbait but im not sure how. when i make it do i have to put any weight in it to make it swim or can you just carve it and put it together.

why do i have to pay 99 cents to put a post on that in my opinion that stupid.

my first bass of the season, its not really big but its good. I caught it on a no name sppinerbait i bought at a sportsmans show.

i found it at walmart be its in with the glue section and thats what it seems to be, a glue so how can i use this for a clear coat on lures. the one i was looking at had two tubes to mix i guess, and it was five minute drying

I just used a bait that i recently made and the paint started to crack, i cant remember if i used createx or testors paint ,and i used polyurithane as a clear coat. there were no rocks were i was fishing either.

I had a question about making the wire baits. I have never made one but that it would be cool to try and make a spinnerbait, but I am a little concerned about melting lead because you alwas hear about how toxic lead is. So I wanted to know what precautions to take. Thanks

I am buying an iwata airbrush from merriartist.com and i cant decide on an the airbrush i am going to buy. The hi-line hp-ch or the hpc plus, the hi-line has the mac valve but that looks like it would be really hard to understand

Should I thinn the createx paint when doing fine lines, because when I try to do fine lines I keep the pressuer low but nothing comes out but when I turn it up to where paint comes out I get a lot of over spray. If I need to thinn the paint what do I use I have acrylic thinner but its not from createx, if that matters.

some people might not agree with me but I had an aztek a4702 and I got fine lines out of it, and coast about $120 but I got mine on ebay for $22.00. the badger 100 lg or the iwata hp c plus are good. what kind of airbrush do you have.

where do you buy the 2k auto acrylics

I finally got my compressor working so I could finally paint my first lure. I heard hear that createx paint works the best ,so Igot pink florecent paint and green opaque to paint my rainbow trout . the green paint whent on completely fine, but when I added the pink it came out so watery it ran right off the bait. I have a water trap that works so It cant be thatso I thought I just got a bad can of paint so I bought transparent orange and the same thing happened.Can I only use opaque colers and nothing else, and If so where can I buy them because every where I go they almost only have transparent and florecent. So any advice please, I want to be apart of lure making addiction but evey time I try to make one somthing goes wrong:mad:
