I like it!

Very cool. Like the lightning bolt look on the stripes. What do you use for your pretective clear coat?
I use a fast drying jig head epoxy that somtimes cracks after a while. Making some "usable lures" for some family this Christmas and want them to last.

Very nice. Is it made of carved wood?

Very cool. where do you get the plastic pieces to put together? or do you pour and mold yourself?

Very nice work! What kind of final protective coat do you use? I brush on an epoxy that is designed for jig heads. It somtimes shrinks and craks my paint so I want to try somthing else. I've heard Devcon is good but I couldn't find it at walmart but at time i didnt know it came in a tube so maybe that is why i didnt see it. Do you put your finnish over eyes too. I'd like to use somthing that you can cover eyes in too.

Just amazing!. Love the detail in all your work. I need to pick up a couple of your lures for my collection.

Thanks Diemai, that looks like an awesome trout in your picture! Was just researching trout fishing on the white river in Arkansas for March 2010 this morning. I caught my first and only trout last weekend in NE Iowa; a 12 inch Brown trout. Truly the most beautiful fish ive ever caught. I'm hooked now so going 8 hours south for shot at some trophies.

Nice work, been wanting to build one like that "lazy ike style" for an in-line design to put on front of a "crawler harness" for walleyes. I repaint and tie harnesses out of A-Pex A plugs that are made out of light styrophone, but always thought wooden design would look good too. Would you be interested in selling some unpainted ones?

I use plastic reproduction fins that taxidermist use; but I often change the shape and cut them down to smaller sizes for what ever fish type I'm making. There an expensive part so I'm getting my own mold made.

Thanks bud! I use plasitc molded fish fins for the top dorsal fina and tail. Somtimes I use would for the tail too. I cut them to smaller shapes witha dremel sanding tool. You can order them from taxidermy supply stores or to save money I got my own molding tool that I pour plastic in to make fin shapes.

Great first lure. Don't loose it. It will always be one of your favorites even as your skill in making them gets better with each one.
