  1. thanks guys....had to make wood masters, kept breakin the clay ones when they were almost finished....
  2. would the same sealer apply for making pop molds?
  3. ive only found a few bad ones (20 or less)in each 1000 myself so far.havin a real hard time gitting them at a decent price though.had 6000 on backorder fer 2 months now.is there a better place to order them?
  4. i run it from perrysville all the way to terre haute, fishing different select sections.buddy and i had a 200 plus fish day in late nov down south aways.mostly smallies but a few largemouth too.no big ones most averaged 12 to 13 inches couple 16s but tons of fun.in the evening we got on some blues too lol.love that river, catch everything from whites and big hybrids to sauger/walleye and big cats!....you ever want any info on a stretch of it just ask, help you if i can
  5. i run the wabash quite a bit.you ever git over this way give a holler....sections of it are just loaded with smallies
  6. thats a really nice job! didnt raise my deck on mine cause of my boys but ive got 2 8 ft rodlockers,livewell/baitwell,storage for 12 plano 2700s plus more storage besides the space for 2 batteries and gas tank......i used a 1 inch aluminum square tubing frame that i brased then pop riveted braces onto besides.floor and side walls are 5051 aluminum from tractor trailor sides and front/rear deck and hatch tops are 1/8 or 1/4 inch diamond plate aluminum...all came from the scrapyard for less than 250.00 bucks.i can walk all over the boat (and i do on a regular basis) and its stable as all git out....only 2 things i wish id done different was covered the sharp corners cause the carpets already wearing bad there and somehow i managed to take the "flex" outta the darn boat. git just the right size waves and the ride will jar you a bit..ill try to git a few pics up tommorrow..
  7. you can fish quite a bit of it with just your trolling motor,i snuck in an out with my 28 lol.
  8. try this company for the bearings McMaster-Carr theyve got about everything a guy could want and then some....ive also got info on a high torque variable speed grinder somewhere on this puter..might solve that bogging down problem.
  9. gonna have to check it out next winter for sure.just got back from newton.had 9 keepers, biggest 7 13 out of probably 50 fish...had a blast but boy its a long drive lol
  10. just awsome!! what kind of blade were you using?.think your going to have problems with using a router....laminate cutter might be better but either way bits arent going to last as long as the blade, and can see issues with depth of cut...great idea, never would have even thought it was possible lol
  11. what do you mostly fish for at sangris? heard tell theres sposed to be big true stripers there but i havent been there yet.
  12. just completely awsome !!!! so much to read here i hadnt noticed this post before..i inlay table tops with wildlife pictures, using different types of wood for the different colors.had a gentleman want a little more greenish tint to one i did of a walleye so i used a transparent stain and diluted it with regular paint thinner to lighten it.really brought out the grain along with a tiny bit of color and it is compatable with epoxy clear coats.at least the woodworking kind.
  13. sure do longhorn....now if me and those air bubbles in the pop can start gittin along a little better........:mad:lol ....only havin a problem with the second half of the molds but ill git er figured out....think my wifes starting to miss me.....keeps comin out ta visit lol
  14. spike....ya wanting to know about clinton ill? its muddy but was starting to clear up..hot ditch is still closed...walleye are being caught at the spillway but no hybrids yet.....few eyes an whites/crappie comin from around the bridge areas when its clearer......report i just got from the quad cities is the ice was breakin up around clinton iowa and the miss. was still muddy and chunky but starting to clear.walleye an sauger fishing was slow at pool 15 an 16 last few days........i was goin up there this weekend but decided not too after that report, stayed home to play with the crappie an bass.....just got back with my limit of crappie and caught 3 largemouth on jig an pig. crappie averaged 11 in. an bass were only 15 -16 inches......somebody turn off the wind please!!!!!
